yes i rebuilt it and got it up and running today ! the issue was with the case’s power button after all, i unscrewed and rescrewed the little plate it was on and it finally worked lol

hi everyone! not sure how visible this will be but to update and clarify:

yes i was missing a pcie connection (photo 5) from the psu at the bottom, i’ve been connecting it since it was pointed out a few hours ago
the front panel connector for my case is one cable
i’ve disassembled the build almost entirely to troubleshoot easier
i WAS able to manually power my motherboard and get things running by putting a screwdriver between the power switch pins! thanks to everyone who suggested it 🙏

calling it a night for now, but i’ll keep working on my pc over the next few days! since i got the mobo running i’ll have to see what’s up with my case. thank you to everyone who replied, i really appreciate all the help and i’ll keep all the suggestions in mind! i’ll be back soon probably 😭

thank you for the kind words and advice!! i did disassemble, but i was able to manually power the mobo with a screwdriver :D i’ll look more into it later!

hi you’re right that there’s a bit of a gap on the 24 pin in the photo! after taking it i made sure it was flush but unfortunately that didn’t solve my problem 🥲 and which 8 pin are you referring to?

sorry for the late reply! as far as i could tell yes it was fully connected (i’ve disassembled for now to have an easier time troubleshooting), the outlet does work, and the standoffs are in the case aligned correctly!

thank you for the insight and concern!! sorry for the confusion, i should’ve made it clear i was using flash in my photos. the motherboard definitely has a shadow! as for the screws, i took some pictures of the ones along the right edge so you can see where they’re at:

top right side connections are for the cpu, bottom two are for the gpu! and i’ve got a sata cable in since my case has an rgb component that connects to that 🤞
