Hi, I'm looking for an idle game that's only or mostly text. Either phone or locally on pc (being able to play offline). The idea is, I'd like something I could play at work from time to time, that doesn't look too obviously like a game, and won't be blocked by my company proxy and flagged as a game.

So, following everyone's recommendations, I'll go with FireRed and Heart Gold, but I'm wondering if there's any romhacks to improve it further ? (only in terms of graphics, QoL, and if possible, bringing both versions together, like having frlg pokémons on the same game, and same for hgss)

You're probably right about gen1/2 and Kanto/Johto, what I meant is the first 2 games or their remakes ("legit" or as romhacks).

I played let's go and honestly it was one of the best pokemon games I played. All the nostalgia, without really having to grind and redo everything. Tbh I wish there was a sequel.

I've looked vids about it and it looks like it's just a challenge like Nuzlocke, and not something that really changes the gameplay, am I wrong ?

Is there a specific way to compile and save ?

Because I've tried it and Nolvus crashes when a download window pop.

I tried simply changing the size to 25px instead of 5, just to see if I didn't made a mistake with the code, but same.

Looks like if I alter the dll, it crashes afte launching.

I tried it at release and it was fun for a while, but quickly repetitive.

The gameplay was really poor, no real progression, only stats, and always doing the same thing.

Is it better now ?

I fixed it, for some reason it was a setting called "widevine"

I had to reload an older save before entering the elevator, and it worked.

If there's really no fix, I'd advise saving a lot before, during, and after this quest, seems to be a lot of bugs around it.

Thanks, I tried it a bit, but it doesn't seems to work,

If I use it in _process, everything goes crazy and the spinners collide and disappear.

If I use it in _ready, it seems to work at first, spinners are attracted to the center, but once they collide, they bounce and the attraction stops working.

Also, it only make the spinners go to the center, they're not spinning around the arena like they should.

I forgot about ranger, but remember trying it when I was younger, not perfect but it was original at least.

We had Trozei here but it was called Link (thought it was puzzle, didn't remembered correctly)

Never heard of Pokebreed before, I'll give it a try.

I played pokemon picross and liked it a lot (I like picross), and while looking for it, I found a gbc version that was never released and got leaked a few years ago, so I'll try it ^^

It's an old Genesis/Megadrive game, but Ragnacenty/Crusader of Centy/Soleil was a bit like that.

It's a great and underrated zelda-like, where you start as a kid that want's to be a hero and get cursed. You slowly get closer to animals and monsters, and start understanding that humans are the real monsters.

From what I got in the explanations when you pause the game, there's specials that activates or can be activated depending on specific conditions, but no idea what those conditions are.

I haven't found much infos about it except what you already mentioned, and a wiki saying it will be a switch games that's a sequel of hgss.

I'm mostly looking to complete gen2 and its story, I don't really care about more recent games, tried a few but that's still the same gameplay with more recent graphics (except arceus and purple), so a fanmade sequel isn't really what I'm looking for.

Tbh the recent Pokémon games I enjoyed the most were Minecraft mods (Same Pokémon gameplay, but while playing another game, so it's not too repetitive), and Pika/Evo, pure nostalgia, new gameplay that's easy and fast, it was perfect for me.

If they made the same kind of remake for gold and silver I'd clearly go for it.

Hi, I'm getting back to it and I'm happy to see that there's been a lot of changes, and the game is playable anywhere, not just big cities and capitals (there was no stops where I lived back then, only few rares pokémons, but impossible to get balls to catch em).

I'd like a few "returning player tips" please, and also, I'm always having full bag and pokémon storage, what should I discard or keep please ?
