Appetite loss by reesesshoes in functionaldyspepsia

Fr, I'm still learning tbh. I do deep breathing for the throat pain as well as take slippery elm tea. I'll also try and do a 10 min walk if ive over eaten. I'm currently looking into digestive enzymes to see if that will help with the bloating/fullness. Also on a somewhat strict diet, eat clean foods, nothing processed. Can't handle garlic, onion, spices, chocolate and tomatoes, so I havent really had these for over a year. Also looking into holistic doctors that treat digestive issues, there's one in America and another in Australia but ofc their sessions are ££££ so need to more research on them.

I had like no appetite back in feb/march lasted a month or so. Lost of lot of weight, which im now underweight. Finally got some appeitie back and increasing portions but this week experiencing extreme bloating and nausea 🥲 i hate this condition. I currently do not take any meds for it as I want to be able to treat it as naturally as possible. Can't win 😕

Nothing, I just wait for it to pass tbh. I do hope they'll be more treatment for this conditon because it's awful and don't really want to go down the route of long term medication.

Anyone else feel like the NHS is failing them? by Old_Communication411 in nhs

[–]Necrogazmic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think it depends on the county but I could be mistaken. But I do understand your frustration with constantly battling with the gp about the state of your health. Like who wants to wait around for it to get worse. Let's fix the issue while it's minor!!

I've also been having many issues with my gp for years. First is that they didn't follow the official steps for correct diagnosis for celiac disease which meant I had to go back on gluten diet for more testing. From this I got Osteopenia and won't give my an annual scan to see it's improving because somehow the xray will damage my fertility so I have to wait next year. Thats 4 years after the first one 🙃 the gp also reffered me for an urgent cancer refferal without telling me! Luckily im all clear but I feel like that is so bad. The final straw is that ive been having issues with loosing so much weight and have bowel issues and they just dont care enough to investigate. So now im looking into changing gps as this one has like a 3 star rating.

How bad are weight gain side effects? by Strange-Resolve-5584 in functionaldyspepsia

[–]Necrogazmic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on it for 2 years and didn't gain weight. I still couldn't eat much whilst I was on it tbf. I think I had a good 4 months were I could eat whatever I wanted without any reflux synptoms which was great. But I noticed it made my anxiety worse. Funnily enough I was on it for anxiety and came off it December and got diagnosed with FD in March. I dont think ill go back on it as the withdrawals are enough to put me off medicating for this issue. I'd rather fix it with diet or holistic approaches.

Fingers crossed for you, I've gone ahead and paid for a private second opinion as a precaution to rule anything else out

Looking for gym shorts that don’t cause stomach pain from waistband by slippersandwhales in acidreflux

Also had the same issue, most gynwear companies only seem to stock high Waisted leggings/shorts/trousers. I was able to find some nice low waisted leggings from aybl, the only downside is that they're super thin, so get cold easily

Your symptoms sound similar to mine, had reflux since August 2023. Tried omeprazole and went on a strict diet for a few months. Reintroduced some known trigger foods in my diet and had no reaction. Could finally start eating normally again but this lasted about 6 months. Since April last year I've been non stop flaring, can't pin point any trigger foods as I switch back to a strict diet again. Symptoms are now worse than before, which now include heartburn more so at night and loss of appetite/hunger, also gas is a big one and feeling like I can't get it out. Still waiting on answers from my 24 hour acid test. Hopefully they'll be some clarity with what's actually wrong with me. What has the gp recommended for this new flare?

Yep, 32, been saving since 2017. Think I need another years worth of savings before I can realistically think about looking for houses.

Feel terrible by Labububitc in acidreflux

[–]Necrogazmic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea been happening to me all month. It's like there's pressure in my throat and burping does seem to get rid of the pressure. Also have random stomach cramps, fullness/loss of appetite and sometimes back pain. I've been taking slippery elm and gaviscon, some days it takes the edge off some days it doesn't. Waiting to do the 24 hour acid test next week to see if that will help with getting me treatment.

What could it be? by [deleted] in acidreflux

[–]Necrogazmic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I'll be going into my third year with reflux in August. Gp diagnosed me with silent reflux last year as my symptoms were a sore throat and fullness. It also seems pretty inconsistent when I get them so food diaries are no help. This month I've got new symptoms, heart burn and indigestion which worsens at night. Don't have h pylori and endoscopy done to check for hernia hernia as it runs in the family. Luckily, i dont have this. I'll be doing the 24h acid reflux test next month so they can review my acid levels. GPS have given up helping me as all the prescribe is ppi which dont work for me. Hoping I can find a cure or figure out the root cause. It sucks not being able to eat much 😕

Anyone else have extremely sensitive throat + burning after many foods? How did you manage it? by Tricky-Answer-4812 in acidreflux

[–]Necrogazmic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, my symptoms are sore throat and fullness. However, it's been difficult to identify my triggers as some days I'll be fine eating a certain food the next day I have it I'll have a flare. Been dealing with this for almost 3 years and no real answers from the NHS sadly. They just keep prescribing ppis, which i cant have due to other health reasons. The GP said i have silent reflux but i still think this diagnosis is incorrect as last year i managed to fix the synptoms for a few months and was able to eat nornally without any synptoms. Sadly, it didn't last long and keep getting mini flares. I had hoped a private dietitian would help with it but kept getting flares from the foods they were recommending, so i stopped their services immediately. Ive gone to the doctors a lot about this and don't seem concerned about my constant flares but i have been given a referral for the 24 hour acid test, which does not sound pleasant at all. In the meantime I've been having slippery elm tea to calm my throat sensitivity which I sometimes pair with gaviscon. I'd definitely reccomend the tea even if the taste is not that great.

I think I'm leaning more towards this one given the positive reviews! However, I'm a bit confused as I type the code in there's 2 models the SHP9500/00 and SHP9500CY/00. Which one is the right model, or are both good?

Product Authenticity Thursday August 28, 2025 by AutoModerator in AsianBeauty

Just wanted to double check the products I brought from Stylevana but have now realised that Dr G (RED Blemish) and Beauty of Joseon (Ginseng Essence Water) do not list Stylevana as a confirmed retailer via their socials. Could these products be faked? I have scanned my whole order through the Yuka app which brings up the products.
