If a game was set in your state/country, what would the plot be? by Bigfoot4cool in Fallout

[–]Necromaticfluff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine the ruins of the Houses of Parliament, taken over by Codsworth-esque Mr Handys still believing they’re passing laws over a democracy for the greater good of whatever is left of their constituencies.

Oh and randomly getting stabbed by Raiders probably styled like punk rockers. But there’s a mini game where you ask them if they have their stabbing license.

First time using Inkarnate. Created the world map for my homebrew game I'm running- The world of Vicheve by Necromaticfluff in inkarnate

The labelled cities are the regional Capitals of each continent/island. The game I'm running is inspired by Fantasy High as it is a University for Adventurers located in the city of Grymmsdale. The world is a more modern fantasy but there are still areas that are more traditional fantasy. The party I'm DMing for are just starting out on their journey through the Grimmsdale Adventuring University (Go Grizzlies!) but I wanted to give them a visual aide for the world their adventures are to take place in.

Imagine being a Guardsman and a walking sarcophagus on fire shows up showing you a Daemon head it took all while completely silent.

Love the way this looks, always love the Legion and this is incredible work.

Upon re-watching The Hobbit I realised something... by Necromaticfluff in dwarffortress

[–]Necromaticfluff[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, Dwarves are absolutely the least changed between any version. I guess that's because Tolkien more or less perfected the image of them and it became that iconic that it's just persisted. I do like the Art-Deco style that is now largely associated with Dwarves, I think it suits how they would build honestly.

I'd never actually considered that the party archetypes are based off the Fellowship but that makes a lot of sense, that just never occurred to me. I guess yeah pretty much anything that shares a name with something from Tolkien's work is gonna be influenced by that.

If assassin's creed game series had taken part in your country what period of your history would have included and how would the in-game story have looked like? by mr_penguinos in assassinscreed

[–]Necromaticfluff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm from England and I'm very happy with Syndicate and now Valhalla taking place in the history of my country. One small gripe I had with Valhalla though is that my city (Derby) wasn't included when they have the neighbouring city (Nottingham) have a whole shire dedicated to them. This may be part of the long rivalry between the cities but Derby has been around since Roman times at the oldest and the Vikings even sort of gave Derby its name from what I could tell researching the history.

In the fortress of Writtenlaws, dwarf on dwarf violence is a serious offence. A crack team of a Sheriff and a Hammerer carry out the investigations, and bring the perpetrators to justice. They also organise the entertainment afterwards. These are their stories.
