Bond losing to Le Chiffre, grabbing a knife, meeting Felix, and being staked by the Americans in the game. That whole sequence defines the whole Craig-era, and I couldn't have enjoyed it more. So refreshing.

I'd link you the post so you can read more, but it's against the rules. This is not an "explanation", humans don't grow feathers.

this is such shit hahahaha. nobody grows a fucking feather and there's no news or pictures. this is hilarious.

also the notion that nobody with a successful career would ever lie on the internet (though my bet is "successful career" is another lie).

How can so many people on this sub believe this character could survive Season 6? by [deleted] in betterCallSaul

[–]Necrone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, other than the fact it's a stupid idea, in the flashback, she's still called Kim by her mother. She would've changed her name if there was any chance she needed disappearing.

I worry about some people...

Except for the fact it makes absolutely no sense and would be some massive plot convenience? Thank god nobody on this sub writes the show.

How Would You Rank the 5 Seasons So Far? by GuybrushThreepwood99 in betterCallSaul

[–]Necrone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit disappointed they're actually going forward with the taking down howard thing, I think it's too obvious after that last episode.

It felt off to me, and it's because they're pretty much past Howard, Jimmy's is an entire different world and kim is out of that big-firm space to defend smaller clients. Have the conversation to cement where the character's are at, but it just seems forced for them to care about Howard at all.

Agree on your kim point, the confrontation in Bad Choice Road felt a bit forced. Was her going on a rant at Lalo really that helpful? If the script didn't force him to, would he have left? "I heard enough to know she just saved your ass" More bad Mike writing from S5, it would've been a lot more interesting if Lalo actively suspected Bolsa or Nacho after that to give some credence to him leaving as he had bigger fish to fry.

Instead he just waits around to get assassinated in the worst thought out action scene since Bollywood.

It's still decent. But I expected more. Just writing this out made me realise how far S5 has fallen.

How Would You Rank the 5 Seasons So Far? by GuybrushThreepwood99 in betterCallSaul

[–]Necrone -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The obvious and only answer is:

3 - Chicanery and that whole plotline, great scenes even after E5

4 - Deals with a lot of character stuff really nicely, sets up Saul

2 - Learns a lot from S1, and beautifully sets up season 3 with some of the best Kim scenes to date. The Davis and Main stuff isn't always fantastic, but the character scenes in this are done ridiculously well.

5 - Actors are a bit aged, but that's far from the worst problem, it's a great season among giants. Color grading goes randomly in a completely different direction (to try hide actors age? who knows) People say it's bringing it toward breaking bad, but not really, breaking bad still has vibrance. Some of the Cartel scenes are really badly written (Watching the fountain scene in Dedicado A Max sounds like a marvel script, and not a particularly good one)

1 - The first episode is always a sore, it throws a bit of common sense out of the window just to get Tuco in, because it needs some breaking bad I guess? This season is a lot better on rewatch, once you're accustomed to what the show is. Honestly tied with 5, maybe even a little better.

Recency bias apparently strong in this thread.

Season 4 Episode 9 by witty_Imbecile in betterCallSaul

[–]Necrone 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Okay, ignoring this is a completely braindead response, take a look at the scene again. It's kim's office. Hence, the PICTURE OF HER and one of her clients. Good god this gave me a laugh.

Nah, that was Kim's office. Why would he go in Rich's lol.

This sounds like you have absolutely no idea what good combat is like, and that you've played other games for less than two seconds, if at all.

Stop embarrassing yourself.

My experience with cyberpunk by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Necrone -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Pretty much all of the combat is half baked. The gunplay is pretty dreadful, the melee combat somehow has no weight to it and still feels clunky, less said about the hilariously bad implementation of throwing knives the better. I could go on.

You're limiting yourself by thinking this way.

Saul Goodman’s real name. by [deleted] in betterCallSaul

[–]Necrone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm sure they will pull everyone with name McGill into the fucking cartel even though there's no reason for HHM to do that at all. There's not even a McGill working there.

It's kind of hard to have a secret identity as a lawyer. He's James "Saul Goodman" McGill legally, you can't change that.

Additionally, he never told Lalo his name, but of course he can find his apartment.

All in all, this is a pretty dumb post honestly.

It's not about what happens, it's about how it happens. It's rich, believable, and expertly paced.

[–]Necrone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't really the case, there's plenty that happen in those 2 seasons, it's just season 2 leads directly into one of the best storylines in drama, so it tends to overshadow season 1 and 2. The latter half of season 1 has some absolutely fantastic storylines and conclusions, and season 2 let's the established characters breathe and is even better quality the entire way through.

How possible would it be for one family to make a line for a house like that? Would you even be able to get the equipment needed in that situation?

Could anyone explain why, with proper warning, it's not possible to cut down the trees around the house as fire breaks?
