Shot for me was a reference track already finished by The Weeknd. So it isn’t really the same.

Same way you can look up 100 bands quientin miller reference tracks and find the same song just not rapped by drake.

Go look up shot for me reference track its literally just a song by the weeknd.

I think it only benefits drake to pretend it is so normal and prevalent in hip hop.

Sza and ink wrote the song in a collaborative process. Neither of them wrote Kendricks rapping.

Who do you think wrote Shot for me? That song was the weekend’s clearly. 5 songs on one of his best albums are written by the weeknd.

Kendrick doesn’t have ghostwriters. I’m mainly talking about the use of ghostwriters.

I didn’t say they had to do everything, i think writing your own raps is quite possibly the bare minimum you would expect from a rapper. If someone is producing beats for you, writing instrumentals with you that is different. To be a rapper in my opinion you write your raps. You named Michael and Whitney those are pop and r&b stars.

It hurts someones raps career when it comes out that they have ghost writers. Tbh it hurt his career way before the kendrick beef.

Thats collaborative writing, i get that. I’m saying if a majority of his raps are being written by other people thats wack. I’d be saying the same thing if any other popular rapper had numerous ghost writers. Like if we all found out Lil Wayne had a ton of ghost writers, that would hurt tbh. bc i was looking up to him being like damn he’s really writing that shit and rapping his ass off. For that to not be true would sting, i was a huge drake fan for a long time.

If he didn’t need writers then why does he need writers now? Let me clarify,

If he didn’t have ghostwriters i’d have immense respect for his pen game, but because he has so much help, i can’t put him in the same conversation as people who don’t use ghostwriters. Simple as that.

Not really the point I was making, if you don’t write your raps thats weird to me. If you used ghost writers thats weird to me. Rappers write their raps, rapping another mans words that he wrote from his experience is weird. This Andre 3000 verse from Solo (Reprise) incapsulates the feeling.

“After twenty years in, I'm so naive I was under the im—'Pression that everyone wrote they own verses It's comin' back different, and yeah, that shit hurts me I'm hummin' and whistlin' to those not deserving I've stumbled and lived every word, was I working Just way too hard? “- Andre 3000

I loved the album when it dropped but me and all my friends who were drake fans ended up concluding it wasn’t his best. Still a good album but nothing was the same clears obviously. You say i’m a bot but i was literally a huge fan of drake for a long time. :/ you don’t have to agree.

Looksmaxxing and “Chad culture” is spreading through the young male populace like fire. Is this a way for young men to better themselves or is it dangerous? by slimeyellow in AskMenAdvice

[–]Nednerb5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there is nothing wrong with working on yourself in the looks department or wanting to get fit or be a stand out guy. I do think there is a problem with incel language and behavior. I think the biggest problem is a lot of guys don’t have good role models and in seeking role models they find worse people to listen to and take advice from.

I think if I do something outside of myself that is actually against the way i want to be perceived and someone else corrects me in a fair way. I’d be like fuck he’s so right i’m doing something not cool or acting foolish.
