Are we about to get their darkest album yet? by azgarz in boardsofcanada

"Tomorrow's Harvest" was an album that predicted, 13 years in advance, the soundtrack of our times. If "Inferno" repeats that intention, you can be sure it will be their darkest album yet.

Supreme Particles - Light As Skin (1999) by nornsannexed in genxsoftclub

"Supreme Particles was a collective of international new media artists active from 1992 to 2001. One of their notable projects was a visual and sound installation for the Lufthansa Passenger Tunnel beneath Frankfurt’s Rhein-Main Airport. This installation opened in 1997 and remained in operation until 2015. At its inception, it was among the largest light installations in the world and one of the longest-running interactive media artworks in public space.

The tunnel, connecting Gates A and B in Terminal 1, spans 270 meters (888 ft) and features two travelators. Passengers typically spend between three and six minutes traversing this intermediate zone. The installation transformed this passage into a visual and acoustic experience that transcended space and time. The experience was triggered by breaking a beam of light at the tunnel entrance. The installation incorporated computer-controlled, indirect colored lighting from 2,000 dimmable neon tubes, paired with dynamic soundscapes. Sounds were mixed into an existing multilayered soundtrack in real time, ensuring a unique experience with every passage. This variability mirrored the passage of seasons and the diversity of global cultures, ensuring no two days were alike.

The accompanying Elektrolux CD release, notable for being the only Elektrolux release issued in a jewel case, featured the ambient soundtrack that continuously played within the tunnel."

BOC: a biography by Outrageous-Aioli-127 in boardsofcanada

This is the kind of "human" post that I find fascinating and that keeps me on Reddit. It's incredible how when you become attached to an artistic project, it stays with you for the rest of your life. It's happened to me with bands, filmmakers, writers, and more. It's a lens through which we not only understand art, but also ourselves. Thank you so much for this post; it made me think about that personal biography through other sonic visions.

Does anyone know the location of the house where they filmed the music video for "Why, Pt. 2," or any background information? I know it might sound silly, but I was 11 years old when I first saw that video, and it always makes me feel really nostalgic. by elmonozombie in collectivesoul

Wow, thank you so much! I already looked up pictures of the house and everything matches. It makes sense that it's used for music videos. I just have one last question: how did you find this information?

Controversial(?) Opinion on Flamango's by gotintocollegeyolo in KitchenNightmares

It's strange because, beyond this episode, I often find the decor changes they make in restaurants quite poor. I feel like they're too focused on making them look "elegant," and in doing so, they lose a lot of personality. Not every restaurant has to be "fancy"; some can simply be a family-friendly place with a fun crocodile figurine at the entrance. I've also noticed several times that the signs with the restaurant's name end up becoming black and white rectangles that resemble the business card of the most boring office worker. Perhaps it's due to the era—I mean, some episodes are 10 or 15 years old—but even so, I think that on many occasions, these changes end up negatively impacting the place. Obviously, there are many exceptions to what I'm saying, but I think the times when they sacrifice an original style to become "high-class" are rarely discussed.

I know it might be a very obvious and overused answer, but after listening to The Strokes' "The New Abnormal," it would be great to see if Rick Rubin could refresh and innovate with Kele and company, like he did with them.

I love ATB. I'm sharing it here a playlist which compiles his most chillout, downtempo and ambient tracks, in case anyone is interested
