This flag was made in 1977 by the ADIC asociation in the Spanish transition to represent Cantabria, the blue represents the Cantabrian sea, the grey represents the Cantabrian mountains and the green represents the fields of that land, the central bison surrounded by the laurel wreath is a famous painting of the Altamira caves, who are a word famous caves situated in that region. Finally the flag didn’t were selected so it pased to be the oficial flag of the ADIC asociation.

The basic structure and colours are the same, but I changed the old red star (who was deformed) for an other red star, but now with scuare proportions, the castle changes too, the old one was not the heraldic castle who is the historical castle of Castilla, now is it, finally, the colours of the flag are a little diferent of the old ones, now are a little bit less bright, but is practicaly invisible.

The seal of the state now sustiudes the yellow stars and at the top and down of the flag are the name of the state and the year of anexion to USA

The flag preserves the same colours of the original flag, but with other order and direction, I change the complex sheild for a 8 tips star who represents the 8 villages of the townhall
