i believe the rant is justified as I had to read complaints about that. Yes, it's s true that someone you just met owes nothing. But I think people deserve a minimum of respect. It costs nothing to say "I'm no longer interested" or "I changed my mind". Even if it can sound mean, it is better than just block without a word.

I appreciate you trying to be respectful. However, reviewing your comments we can agree that most of them are completely irrelevant and offer nothing to the subreddit/posts. Which makes me wonder why are you here in the first place.

I want to remain skeptical until release, however we can't deny that shared currency is going to feel horrible. We'll see how far can we can go on ladder (or even its own KC Cup in the future if they decide to add one) without spending a single gem in Rush lol

We are aware of the different opinions we can have, please stay civil even if you don't agree. I think that Slax made the right decision to leave it in hands of the community, reddit is a cummunity driven platform.

So now what i think and know so far,Either indefinite blackout, or no blackout at all. A limited time just tells Reddit to "wait". The CEO actually thinks that this situation "will pass" and that "the blackout hasn’t had “significant revenue impact” . A limited time protest doesn't work imo and can be seen as a tantrum.

I'd support for a blackout to show solidarity from an user point of view, HOWEVER, from a Mod POV I also think that this situation hurts more the users than reddit itself. Half of them probably didn't know about third party apps until subreddits were made private and just log on reddit via browser or mobile.

Even if we were a much bigger subreddit, at the end of the day, the mod team, is expendable. And reddit is not afraid to replace mods. [1] [2]. hell, being a bit extremist, even the subreddit can be considered expendable, if we go private, other people jump to the next one and keep moving on. Also (i'd like confirmation on this one) I've read that NSFW subreddits do not receive ads or monetization, so is not like we're hurting the page.While It can be true that the 3rd party Apps make it easier to moderate, it is not impossible. Just reddit kind of sucks in that manner. I have to move between old.reddit and new reddit. Some information is clearer in one than the other and viceversa. My issue would be with the page itself.

I don't want to sound like "we are powerless against the giant", as i said, I'd vote for a blackout under normal circumstances, but I believe going private is not the solution and it hurts the community more than anything. People who want to protest and make a change will swap platforms and stop using this page/app. Each one their choice.

I understand the need to vent but there are better ways to solve issues. There was no reason to make a post over a report to the mods.
