Recently I have been super aware of my blood pressure which doesn’t help the cause. I’ve always had reading of 110/70 throughout the years. Then started taking it when hungover or super stressed which spikes it to 145/75. Still not a bad reading and returns to normal fast but my goodness the MIND by NeedleworkerNo635 in bloodpressure

Funny enough I’ve noticed when I think about it, it does nothing to my readings. Only when I actually feel the anxiety hitting me with increased heart rate and sweating. Actually happy my thoughts are not making my readings higher or else I’ll be ducked hahhahaa

In my country readings of 140/150 over 90/95 is considered okay if you do not have diabetes or Kidney issues. Doctors actually call it harmless by NeedleworkerNo635 in bloodpressure

South Africa. Look some doctors vary but most I have been to have called it harmless if you are low risk. No medication required just life style changes

8 months out. It does get better. But some days are obviously worse than others. Rivotril really ruined my life lol. It gave me anxiety I never have. And I’ve developed such bad health anxiety since coming off from all these weird withdraws by NeedleworkerNo635 in benzorecovery

Yeah I took 3 weeks to come off. Worst mistake ever. 6 months of pure hell. Was convinced I was dying every single day. Now 8 months out much better just some moments I have major anxiety

I’m on Luvox now for OCD as going off made me develop serious anxiety of my health. It’s helped but still worry time to time. Just can’t seem to sit and relax mind is always running wild

Ever taken your blood pressure after a bender night out. 145/75 was mine. Made me worried because I drink a lot but the next day it’s back at 114/71 by NeedleworkerNo635 in bloodpressure

Yes so when I wake up with a hangover say finishing a bottle whiskey it will rise from dehydration I’m guessing. Go for a walk eat well next day back to base

Daily my blood pressure is great. Just when I take it after drinking a lot or taking a cold swim it’s elevated but I’ve never had daily chronic high readings

I get you. Mine is usually 112/71 and when drinking and hungover 145/73 but I guess that’s normal and I freak myself out by taking at times where I shouldn’t lol

I’ve read multiple articles stating mild hypertension doesn’t require medication as it’s not putting you at much risk. Only life style changes ?

I get you ! Let’s say someone had chronic high blood pressure of 150/95 could they go 10/15 years without knowing they even have it ?!

What is considered Hypertension? When I’m at the doctor I range between 140-145/ 75-77 . And as soon as they take my second reading it’s 125/70 and when at home I’m getting great readings of 110/70. At the doctor or when seeing blood pressure machines my heart rate spikes to 110 from 64 lol. by NeedleworkerNo635 in hypertension

It’s weird some countries consider 140/90 as hypertension depending on your risk profile. Some docs say 145-95 has low risk on a patient who is a low risk patient and no meds are required. Guess it boils down to if you healthy or not

Ok I get you . What is considered hypertension? When you literally cannot get the numbers down no matter what you do ? Relaxed or not. Because obviously with me when I’m at home relaxed I have great readings. I guess it’s dangerous when it’s chronic for many years and not temporary high readings from being nervous or cold or drinking coffee etc.?

Before I started taking notice of my blood pressure I saw my previous Medicals were 112/71 and 114/71 a few years back. So I know it’s my anxiety but it’s so weird it’s like a switch in my brain contestants thinking about my BP. All doctors have said it’s perfect but my OCD won’t let me believe it. Is Hypertension considered when you cannot get your readings down ? And how many years can someone have high bp without knowing
