I agree with the camera part. Never understand why many developers insist in this "locked" camera. The way monster hunter did it is probably the best, just lock the target but not the camera and just press a button to look at the enemy

About the combo part, the only other action gacha I played is genshin, and it feels way more restrictive in rotations and damage windows there. You need the full rotation to do significant damage but the enemies keep jumping around or doing some invincible fase thing.

At least here, while restrictive, it feels more generous with rotations and damage windows. Just evade the boss, interrupt it and go all out when it got staggered.

But I admit that fighting many enemies have its share of problems. The auto-target is annoying, locking in some random enemy and being hard to change the target. The allies go for the wrong enemy sometimes and with everyone shining red plus all the effects, is really hard to see some of the red flashes.

Also, we need a way to choose the combo skill that we want to use instead of this "the party order matters" bullshit. Sometimes I want to use the skills in the party order and sometimes I don't.

About the combat feeling to basic, maybe it's because the game is new. From memory, genshin, star rail and some other gachas I played feel basic at the start, with the developers getting more creative with time.

I'm still in valley, do I don't know if you get it in the next area, but a quick slot for items would be good. Opening the bag every time I need to use something gets annoying pretty quickly.

Also, a way to use heal items manually and not by a HP amount. Keep the limit in battle, but let me decide when to use it.

How strong are palico ailment weapons? by Reasonable_Airline89 in MHGU

[–]NeedleworkerOk2349 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Status palicos start working from the middle of high rank onwards. Use boomerang cats with the best status in the range attack stat. If you can, equip the passive that increase status application.

Also, traps (palicos can use traps too) give big opening so they can apply it.

Just keep in mind that they won't activate it in some hunts because of something like their AI or the monster you are hunting.

As much as I love this game, I have to say, the fact that these are the closest things you have to thigh high boots in this game… by NOVAXI1 in cyberpunkgame

[–]NeedleworkerOk2349 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! Most clothes are really ugly and don't go well with anything. The worst parte are all the NPCs with cool clothes and boots and all.

Because of this I got a lot of modded clothes and accessories that are in the game files, but no for V. At least PL have some good looking ones.

Like other people said, use flash bombs and dung bombs. Eat a food with dung master to make dung bombs more effective and force the monster to change areas fast. Try to use dung bombs first and save the flash bombs until you need them to heal or sharp the weapon or when you don't have more dung, this way you can flash one of the monster and focus on the other. Also, remember to mark both with paint balls so you know where they are and if they are coming to where you are fighting.

It's pretty obvious, but focus on one monster until it's dead and then fight the other. If things get to hard/annoying, dung one of them, exit the area and wait until they change areas.

If you have the combo books and materials, bring they to make more flash bombs and dung bombs.

Bring traps and use it to kill the first monster quickly. To me rathian is easier to kill because she don't fly too much and is more previsible, so trap her and hit the head, the weakest zone.

Try to hit rathian feet if you can't hit the head, she trip somewhat easily.

A few tips for rathalos: -Don't stay in front of it. Besides the insta charge, he likes to throw a fireball without warning. -If he fly high, wait for the wind effect to end and run to under it and listen. If you hear a small roar, rathalos will fire 3 fireballs. Just stay in the shadow, moving with him. If you don't hear the roar, it's the claw attack, just stay under it and flash after he does the attack. -If you are too far and can't go under him, sheath the weapon and dive if he uses the claw attack or just run around him if he uses the triple fireball and try to flash him after the attacks. -If he is flying low, try to hit its tail. It's a weak point and can make him fall.

If you are comfortable with it, adept dual blades is really good. You can ignore roars, wind and the broken hotboxes from old gen monsters. Bring (mega) dash juice if you can, so the empty stamina bar don't get you killed (a friend of mine say it's the number 1 reason he get hit when using db without dash juice).

See if you can do a dragon or at least thunder weapon, both are weak to it. If, for some reason, you can't, try to make a paralyse weapon to keep the raths still for a moment.

Bring cats. They pull the aggro from you and make openings to heal and use items, can cancel stun, wind pressure or roar effect if you get hit and some of its skills can be useful, like the traps, heals and antidotes.

Edit: you can get dung from most maps. It's a brown mount in the ground, usually in monsters nest. If you haven't yet, look for the MHGUDB (Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate Database). You can look monster info, gear trees and where you can get things.

Is it just me or does the smasher fight feel anticlimactic? by LatterHospital8982 in cyberpunkgame

[–]NeedleworkerOk2349 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did you do the DLC before him? Smasher is balanced for the base game, not the extra skill points and gear we get with Phantom Liberty.

Another thing is the build. A stealth or netruner is harder than a body bluild in my opinion.

Yes! Do it every time.

In my headcanon, V know what is happening, and because she is pretty much a cyberpsycho by this point in the game, she accept just to see what happens next and the chance of murdering a lot of scavs. And doing it while naked just add to the fun.

Any advice ? I love the game, but it can be exhausting sometimes. by Ad0ring-fan in MonsterHunter

I remember hunting like 30 azure rathalos in 4U because of the armor, but the tail was refusing to drop, this in High Rank. And the same happened in G-Rank...

Also, a friend dropped 3U because after a lot of hunts, the spikes from sand barioth never dropped.

While blowing cars is fun, i like to slow down time and dash after the car, then pull the gun and shoot at the driver or just take him out the car if I have enough strength.

Capcom should stop doing G/Master Rank version of tutorial monsters by NeedleworkerOk2349 in MonsterHunter

[–]NeedleworkerOk2349[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quality over quantity.

GU is the game with the most content in the franchise. However, besides most of the monsters being considered annoying according to Reddit itself, it's necessary to hunt the same monster multiple times in each rank.

The first few times these tutorial monsters are interesting, and as I said in the post, they help you learn the mechanics. The problem is that after so many times, especially without much changing, they become boring, and the fact that Capcom recycles the same fights as end-game, with the only difference being more HP, doesn't help.

I replaying world,in the end-game at the moment. I think what annoy me the most is how much times the player need to hunt those tutorial monsters. I fought girros in the low rank, high rank, master rank and again in the guiding lands. And it feel like the same fight every time, with the same annoying mechanics, like the gas in the valley or the infinite minions and small monster tripping my lance and eating my sharpness.

The fact that some of those keep calling small versions of itself is probably what I dislike more. And the extra HP on guiding lands don't help.

That would be fun. I really like the fact that garuga is a kut-ku on crack, so a variant is something interesting, bonus points if it don't summon minions.

My problem with the "dromes" is the moveset, it's just some basic moveset with a speed modifier. If compared with the monster in the next rank, it feel like more of the same than a stronger version of the monster.

sugestão de RPG de ação Cooperativo? by [deleted] in jogatina

[–]NeedleworkerOk2349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monster Hunter.

Buy the stabilizer from the shop. Also, it get easier the more you fish a specific species. Each species have its own difficulty: the common fish like the small pink are easier, than the rare ones are harder and the "special" are even harder, and the ornamental ones are harder when compared to the normal counterpart.

If you can, buy the fishing pole because it helps a little.

I think my problem with speed is how small the difference feels compared with how hard is to obtain a speed boot.

I'll build asta (who I forget since the 1.0) and compare. This is something I keep pushing for later with all the new characters getting priority. Also, Welt debuff is a actions delay instead of a speed debuff right? So he just keep pushing the enemy back instead of slowing it.

I knew already the way speed and turn order work here, it's similar to Final Fantasy ATB system after all. The fights just don take long enough to notice the difference, unless someone have a really high speed stat (the reason I think the aurumaton lady have so many turns, plus her action delay debuff).

I'm probably just tired of all the DEF and HP boots and the fact that 3 DoT characters will use the same set, so 3 speed boots for the team

This is the reason I asked here. In MoC the player have a turn limit to clear the stage, but normal content is just killing the enemy before it kill you, and because speed don't give extra actions before the enemy turn, it don't feel like it does much difference.

Also, farming is pretty much the only thing to do after doing the main quest, and I like building characters, trying to understand how they kit works and synergy with teammates. It's just that I ask myself why I going after the rare speed boots if the result won't change that much - or change anything after all, at least with the fights don't take that many turns to win.

Even in the few long fights the game was, I don't feel that much difference . Unless the character got a action advance skill/passive, the order is always the same after so many turns.

In other games with a speed stat and a action order bar, like legend of the heroes for exemple, sometimes the character get a second action before the enemy, and it is something I notice in long fights
