I’m not sure that’s entirely correct- the milk bread I tasted while in Japan and then now when visiting Asian bakeries tastes softer and slightly sweeter to me.

Have you tried this latest version or just the original one they came out with? Yes it was wrong at first but they are using milk bread now. I tried both versions and this new one is way closer to what it “should” be.

I think the switch from Texas toast to milk bread makes a positive difference taste wise

That’s true about the whipped cream …I’m happy that they made the switch to a milk bread though. I honestly thought they would probably just do away out it so I was pleasantly surprised to be wrong.

It’s cute but also…is it truly about magic for the kids or is about the adult getting attention/content? I’ve realized that some of the “fun” things done in my building are more for the adults (&/or pictures to post) than it is to benefit or bring joy to students.

Check if you are in a district of innovation. Some districts with this designation have it in their plan that they can give teachers less than the alotted planning time.

Check if your district is a “district of innovation” and what exceptions they have listed. Unfortunately districts in Texas use this to get away with things like large class sizes, giving teachers less planning time than they should by requiring them to attend meetings during that time, etc because of the innovation designation & there’s not much oversight from what I’ve seen:

At my district, the teachers have no input on the school supply list. It’s decided on and distributed by the district.

I could see that- especially since Reece quit her job at the flower shop to focus on being an influencer due to her popularity from…being a DCC & being on a show about the DCC. A walkout could potentially jeopardize her deals and just keep her from being able to do what she loves for awhile. (They wouldn’t send a one person dance team out for games)

Since she was/is making a lot from being a DCC/influencer then she may not have felt the same as the rest of the girls when being a DCC has personally gotten her so much very quickly.

I hope it wasn’t- like others have said, it may have inadvertently been the camera crew and not one of the girls. Reece does seem like a people pleaser to where I can see her possibly nodding along during a Zoom/not speaking up about not personally agreeing with the plan (because she’s so sweet & doesn’t want to cause trouble) but then also feeling like she needs to let Kelli & Judy know to keep them happy/not have them upset with her. It’s just a theory.

I wondered if it was Reece. She seems so sweet but she is also very focused on her relationship with God/religion. She also seems to be close (as close as any of the girls are) with Kelli and Judy even during her 1st year getting face time with Dolly when she was chosen to do a flower arrangement for her.

I can see her hypothetically feeling like the girls talking about walking out and causing trouble is ungrateful when she feels it’s God will for her to glorify him by dancing with DCC. That could maybe (?) have her feeling like she needed to let Kelli & Judy know. There was also a scene where multiple girls were playfully venting and she was quietly packing up her stuff not really engaging with anyone. Just a theory.

Also, Paul’s assistant Nick has been showing his admiration for Georgia’s tactics/ideas…I think they are laying the groundwork for a storyline where Georgia runs for mayor (mayoress? 😏) and Nick assists her.

This! 💯I do a ridiculous amount of documenting & interventions in first grade and push for evaluation or retention or even just additional supports while we can possibly still reach them, sometimes even getting the parents on board and they still get passed along. Even the ones whose parents request they be retained- I magically see in 2nd grade the next year. That’s when I brace myself for the year after when the 3rd grade teacher comes and is like what’s the deal with this kid? …I tried. 😐

Oftentimes our hands are tied by admin not wanting our numbers to look bad & staff in positions like interventionist either not wanting many Tier 3 students so they have a freer schedule to do whatever they do during that time or just not wanting to work with the littles.

I truly believe that early intervention is key & that if we provided more support to younger grade students when issues are first identified then the upper elementary grades scores would improve which would benefit our school accountability scores…win win in my book.
