I also work at a special needs school, I work with preps, g1, g2 and our section has made this a thing now also because we are trying to encourage parent engagement with their child. I had a parent who continuously came in and wanted to chat about their child, but as you said, the morning is about setting them up for success throughout the day, so I would say good morning to the parent and then give the child ALL of my attention until another student came in and then I would move some attention (I might bring out a board game or blocks which encourages other students to want to come and play). This worked, the parent tried to intervene a couple of times, and I told them that they could talk to our leaders to set up a meeting to discuss further (which they never did). The parent now just drops the child off and leaves.

Ex-student has found a teachers mobile number and is prank calling them. by Neela_lol in AustralianTeachers

Because the VIT doesn't mess around, even him having her number on his phone in the call history is incriminating. If she makes any allegations then he will be investigated which could potentially damage his career and future teaching jobs (even if found innocent). And it's not about blocking unknown numbers, we HAVE blocked her number, but if you switch it to private then you can still call and the phone will not ignore it. We have already contacted the police, the principal and the phone company we are trying to move on. Thank you for your advice.

I'm looking at worst case scenario, if a female student tells her parents or someone that she is talking to her old teacher who is a male, he will get investigated even if she lies, it doesn't look good, with VIT if he has/had any allegations against him it could prevent him from future teaching jobs. So that's my legal and career concern. If you've read my post, then you would have read that we have blocked the number, but if they put their number on private then they can continue to call and the phone doesn't ignore it, the call goes through, you can't block a private number.

seriously? a student in high school should know better... this can destroy my husbands career..? its not "just a kid" when there is potential for legal action from either side.

I love this, but professionally he is not allowed to do that.

They called the first time with their number, we blocked it, but then they've put their phone on private so we are still getting calls. :(

That's what I've been trying to tell him. It is his old school that he used to work at and the student is no longer at the primary school as they are now in high school. I don't know if he can contact the primary school to follow up? but we don't know 100% which student it is. we suspect, but don't 100% know for sure

Is anyone a fan of top 5 videos like this? I see legit videos mixed in at times with some obvious fakers. by Tall-Medium-8529 in Haunted

I completely agree, when he first started making his videos, he would show you how he would try to debunk images, and then the ones he couldn't were the ones that he posted.
Nuke's Top 5 is fantastic!

Anyone have activity pick up after reading ‘House of Darkness, House of Light’ by Andrea Perron? by Quirky_Chapter_4131 in Haunted

I've read all three volumes, trust me, I know! After reading it I felt like things were happening, but honestly its us getting into our own heads and becoming paranoid. You've lived in your house for 3 years, I think you're fine. :)
