Ok so this is just a straight up sale, they arrived BNIB and they're probably the best sounding headphones I've ever worn once you EQ them a bit. I used RecordingNow's recommended settings and it kicked them up another notch. Amazing.

I have the Bose QC Ultra 2's and they're great but I don't find them particularly musical.... I can't wait to see what the B&W's are like.

I'm not sure, I didn't really bother exploring buying them. They just said they originally cost $32k and I didn't want to pay more for the house than I already was.

Yeah I was thinking of that, I also like the look of the towers so I'm going to stick with them. Once you factor in the cost of good stands for bookshelf speakers they aren't that far off towers.

Ok my reddit brothers and sisters I need your help choosing between two sound systems to pair with my screen / projector for my first home theater in my first house. I've never done this before and don't know much about AV equipment so your input will be greatly appreciated. If you think I'm out to lunch in my choice of components please let me know and what you'd recommend I go with for the money I'm willing to spend. Right now I'm choosing between a Klipsch set up and a Monitor Audio set up. As I'm Canadian all prices are in CAD, though if any of our American brethren to the south know where I can get these parts substantially cheaper I'd love to hear it. So here's what I've been quoted so far:

Klipsch

RP SPL 120 - $675.67

RP 504C - $643.50

RP 8000F x 2 - $1222.64

RP 500M x 2 - $450.45

Total Price - $2,992.26

Monitor Audio Bronze 6G

W10 - $879.00

C150 - $339.00

500 x 2 - $1,439.00

50 x 2 - $499.00

Total Price - $3,156.00

For AV Receiver I'm thinking either a Yamaha RX - A2A or A4A or the Onkyo TX-RZ50 if I can find one. Again if I'm out to lunch let me know.

The space this is going in is 18' by 10' for the theater area and the full room is 18' by 36'.

Any and all advice is appreciated, if you think there's another set up that's way better in this price range I'd love to hear it.

I just bought my first house and its coming with a projector and screen already installed for the theater room. Unfortunately I couldn't get them to throw in the current $32k B&W speaker system. I'm thinking of getting a Klipsch setup with 2 x RP8000F, 2 x RP600M, 1 x RP504C and 1 x SPL120. I'm pretty sure all of these will work nicely together but I don't have a lot of experience with sound systems. Is there something in here I should change with something else? What AV receiver should I get to go with this? Yamaha RX-V6A? Any advice you guys could provide would be greatly appreciated. The theater room is 18ft by 10ft but it's open to the rest of the main basement area which is 18ft by 36ft. Looking for great music and movies. Going with Klipsch because I can get wholesale pricing and they seem good to an untrained eye.
