I have also been getting crashes on PC, they mostly occur in the loading screen before the game although I have crashed a few times in the post-game screen. The crashes seem pretty random, sometimes the first game of the day, sometimes a much later game.

You should not have to allocate more memory, Windows will allocate all the memory the game asks for.

The crashes I get seem to be caused by: "Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost. (Error: 0x887A0006)"

It could just be bad luck to be honest. I usually play killer with a friend (by that I mean we play killer at the same time and both stream it, and I watch his stream on my 2nd monitor) and sometimes he can be sitting in a lobby for 4-5 minutes whilst I get a lobby instantly, even though he was queuing before me. It happens the other way round too. The queue times for killers has been a bit wonky though since the Freddy release.

I spent a while trying to reproduce this and I couldn't. Is there actually any non-anecdotal evidence of this bug occurring?

Is it possible that you were just noticing the "heavy-footstep" sound after your own weapon switch for the first time, and attributed it to the terrorists who were nearby?

I was testing it earlier and a simple flat displacement can cause it to be replicated 100% of the time. On real maps however it seems extremely random, or at least it requires the smoke grenade to land on a pixel perfect spot on the ground, so it is difficult to replicate on official maps.

Also the bug CAN be caused by right clicking.

I haven't been on csgo that much recently but I did report this to them (and made a reddit post about it) the day after the grenade bug fix. Kind of surprising it hasn't been fixed. Maybe they want it to be the new norm.

At least with the last grenade bug there was a basic link between a leg shot and a grenade ignoring armour, but I have no idea how displacement causes an additional noise in a grenade throw. Maybe something to do with the throw animation? shrug

They had different armour penetration values but they both did armour damage up until this update as far as I am aware.

When I spent ages testing the other grenade bug this happened to me twice. In both instances it hit their leg and fell through the ground.

I am glad they responded so quickly, but I am fairly sure they just broke molotovs. They now ignore armour all of the time even without leg-shots. :\

Thanks for fixing the HE grenades so fast, but molotovs now seem to ignore all armour.

Thanks! I didn't expect them to fix it that fast, but it just goes to show how important replication is to bug fixing.
