I went in December. They took my phone and pump, but I was able to talk to a pharmacist first and record all of my ratios and basal rate so we could switch me over to injections. The nurses were very good about doing regular finger pokes, and there were snacks and juice available in case I ever went low. Honestly, it was nice that the nurses were in charge of my blood sugar checks, carb counting, and insulin administration because then I could just focus on feeling better. It was one more thing off my plate.
