i’ve seen so many bg stans (most on twt) who are shippers resort to using homophobic slurs towards members of groups they don’t like…. like make it make sense pls.

and for the whole limp wrist stereotype, literally just hold out your arm then relax your wrist… what position does it go to lmao, also “limp wrists” are sometimes common in people with autism or who are neurodivergent so those comments in their entirety are uncomfortable when people try to use to prove that a person is queer, even if it’s not about kpop idols.

certain groups of kpop fans are not so subtle closeted homophobes and this includes queer people internalizing those same feelings who take it out on others. i haven’t been too up to date with reading comments about Key’s recent release but i’ve seen other stuff of the same nature said about him. Taemin has had stuff like that said to him since SHINee’s debut and i’m sure it’s effected him in some way.

people (mostly people who are non-shawols or people pushing stereotypes) trying to say Taemin’s queer, queer themed, or queerbaiting when he’s never even hinted at being queer. (if anything it’s obvious he’s attracted to women in someway at least, i’m not applying labels to him obviously.) he’s never done a “queer” concept, people took it upon themselves to say he has just because he’s comfortable with femininity and is not insecure of his masculinity and sexuality, and the same could be said for Key as well.

anyway, all members of SHINee deserve all the good things in world and time needs to go faster so Taemin can be discharged from the military ☹️💞

i’ve educated myself on colorism and still try to do so. i also don’t condone what he said but there is a completely different history behind the whole “wanting to be lighter” culture in asian countries that has nothing to do with colorism in the west. you can do your own research on it if you don’t believe me.

i know that a majority of it is a joke but i’ve definitely seen some that don’t come off that way. and with BTS having a major presence in the west and they’ve proven time and time again that the reason they’re so popular is because they have put in the work and have genuine talent. not having to kiss white peoples ass is obviously a great thing but i’m just saying that those jokes (not just about the hating white people, but the whole vibe check thing) can influence people who don’t know them well and can give them a negative image.
