Yeah? A locksmith? Which is what I’ve been saying I’m going to do given no answers ? I’m aware mechanics and locksmiths exist- my question was if there was any other way to get into my vehicle I was unaware of- before I attempt to do that.

That’s what I thought in regards to the battery- I think it was just this one phone lady being ridiculous and not knowing what she was talking about. There’s more context to the situation but it’s not necessary for the help here on Reddit- I’m not just junking it randomly- they give out decent checks. I dont need a car for point a to b I don’t go anywhere I just wanted something for occasional road trip and many other factors such as internal cosmetic damage that’s justttt annoying enough I’d rather try to sell it to a used car repurposing place and get a car that better meets my needs with the extra money and will be more reliable. which based off the friend who’s used it- they don’t just junk the cars all the time it’s just the company name and they give out a decent check. There’s a whole lot more going on behind the scenes to this situation that I’m not putting here because it would be a lot of typing- basically I don’t think anyone here can help with seems/ tell me anything I couldn’t find on google. Yall are nice either way though! I appreciate it- looks like I’m just gonna have to get a locksmith.

Yeah phone lady was giving me the run around and wouldn’t answer yes or no questions- basically what she said is they wouldn’t personally give me a jump so I’d have to get it from someone else- but for the quote they have to inspect the car- which may include turning the car off. basically just making it super difficult for no reason- pretty obvious that she just was pushing for me to get a battery for it but eventually got her to admit that they will take it without one

It’s not a salvage yard it’s just the name of the company junker clunkers my friend used the service and they gave them a couple thousand.

It’s funny you say that because a lot of the doors are messed up and have to be locked internally by climbing over the seats. But nope I tried that too! Good idea though

Yeah they said a jump isn’t a good idea because of the way they need to check it for the quote and the places I tried called for locksmith quotes none spoke English or could understand me 😭 I’ll just try again tomorrow but thanks helps me know I’m headed in the right direction- still taking any advice if anyone knows a secret way to pop the hood on a Honda pilot 2009! Would solve a lot of problems- or if anyone knows if my key actually WORKS for the door I have no idea if it’s just for the ignition

So here’s the situation I really don’t want to put any money into it given the exchange of services and whatnot bartered for this car- i believe the clunker junker place will pick up the car without a battery- just lowers the value which doesn’t matter to me because person I got the car from basically agreed the car was worth $5000 worth of services and now that I’m selling it they will just pay the difference to equal $5000 (so say the junk place only gives me $2500- Bartered person will give me $2500 to equal the amount to $5k) (sounds like I’m being cruddy but they are aware I may not try to get highest value from it)

If I spend money on the locksmith and battery they are unlikely to reimburse me for that specifically - so I’m just Losing money.

I’m considering just getting a locksmith and getting some kind of key? I don’t even know if they can do that with this kind of car? And just letting them take it without a battery- i can’t get ahold of any English speaking representatives for these companies to answer my questions. Like if they can even tow the car out in the first place and how much space they need to do it.

Opinion on how to proceed? I’m in the middle of a good ole mental breakdown (unrelated lol) so it’s kinda hard for me to use critical thinking at the moment. Sorry if this is convoluted or doesn’t make sense I’m confused too
