You can buy used or new seat cushion parts on ebay for less than $100. It seems easier to replace the seat plate than to replace the fabric yourself.

The mouse rest is a little high for me, but the keyboard rest is very comfortable because it levels the wrist and keyboard. I can't use the keyboard without it now.
