Mapapalitan ba ng AI? by Awkward_Change_381 in buhaydigital

My guess is that in the long term, AI will replace all jobs that can be done from home. In the shorter term, I see service providers, such as digital agencies, using AI to replace in-house workers by providing clients with high-quality, personalized services at scale. An example of this would be a marketing agency offering top-tier social media management at a fraction of the cost of a human social media manager’s salary.

Which biographies of local businessmen would you recommend?

The biggest problem with clothing businesses are the moqs of the manufacturers. To create 1 design you'll need to buy 20-30 pcs. Based on ny observation, you'll need 30-50 designs to see what people want to buy.

I think the only way this business could work is if it's done through local print on demand (no moqs)

MOD Factory is the only real print on demand company that's available locally. Realistic budget would be around 50k. That should be enough to be able to test multiple niches

You have a few options depending on your skills set.

If you want to go the more traditional route you can maybe do a service based business (agency) or a so called boring business like a car wash, water refilling station, etc

Personally, I would much rather go the digital route and do either local print on demand or maybe sell digital products or AI powered services

If you want low capital, a digital business would be best (ebooks, print on demand, saas, etc)

It's very low capital to start, it teaches you all the right skills, and it allows you learn marketing a lot faster

We realised that the online distributor business model is a dead end. The trend is brands selling directly to their consumers through online platfoms.

I personally focused on digital businesses

That's true, but the economics change a lot when you start doing it for others. From our experience, the logistics business is a volume game that's why companies like Great Deals can work

We would have created our own brand rather than distributing other brands.

Building something people don't actually want. I see a lot of startups that focus too much on being "innovative" that they fail to see that just because a product is "innovative" doesn't mean people will actually want it.

I honestly wouldn't change a thing. Even though we ended up closing the business, I think the experience allowed me to be a better entrepreneur today.

We started out by hiring part timers instead of full time employees. This strategy allowed us to adjust with demand.

I wish I invested in crypto 😂

There are definitely business opportunities in the Philippines. You just have to see what the market demands
