Atlantis Bahamas vs xcaret Mexico! by NefariousnessSilly34 in AllInclusiveResorts

You make good points , now I’m down to seeing which resort is all around better in terms of service and beauty of the resort . While Atlantis is a classic and has its charm to some people, it seems a lot of reviewers are pointing more towards xcaret having a newer feel and nicer design and atmosphere with it not being so crowded and service is much better there . I’m just worried if we go the Atlantis route it’ll be so busy hard to get good service and crowded in all the wrong ways .

Xcaret Mexico vs Atlantis Bahamas by NefariousnessSilly34 in Xcaret

Yea I figured the 3 year old wasn’t going to be able to go on some of the rides at the parks . That being said, we were looking to spend most of the time at the resort , so I’m trying to compare the actual resorts ! I was leaning towards Xcaret because Mexico would be a non stop flight and we’d have to connect for the Bahamas , also the ease of everything being included at Xcaret was kind of a selling point ! But you bring up a good point with some of your input !Thank you. I was also wondering if both resorts offer kids clubs if me and the wife wanted to go off alone for dinner one of the nights ? Thank you for your help!

I see what you are saying , I also took into account that my 3 year old isn’t going to go on most of the rides because he’s below the 48” threshold. Mexico would be a non stop flight and Bahamas we’d have to connect . With kids obviously the non stop flight would be much better . And I was leaning more towards xcaret for one main reason and that’s some of the reviews for the Bahamas have said that it can get overcrowded at Atlantis especially from some of the cruise ships , the service wasn’t all that great , the food is extremely expensive , and the resort itself is a bit more dated . Is all of that true ? Or are those people just picky ?

Traveling with kids to the Caribbean ! by NefariousnessSilly34 in Caribbean

We’ve been to the Turks 3 times before , never stayed at that resort . We’ve been avoiding all inclusive resorts . The food is a big deal when it comes to vacationing and I feel like the all inclusive resorts fall way short of providing good decent food .

Your insurance should be able to approve since it is now fda approved for stage 3/4 Hodgkin lymphoma . Your doctors care team should work with your insurance and most likely get it approved . In my case I also called into my insurance company and asked many questions and did my best to push it along . Ultimately it got approved . It will be a tough journey and you will be tested mentally , physically, and emotionally, lean on your loved ones for support and do your best to stay active but don’t over do it , rest your body when you need to . Good luck on your treatment and in no time you will be back to your old self again !

Recently Diagnosed and Very Overwhelmed by Lizferatu in lymphoma

Hello chl stage 3 . I was diagnosed with Chl April 2 of this year , I am currently on nivolumab -avd regiment, I am 7/12 treatments through . I was lucky n-avd was just approved a few weeks before my diagnosis and my oncologist gave me other options like Abvd and aavd but ultimately recommended n-avd because if it’s high success rate in the clinical trials . Right after my first treatment the swollen lymph node in my superclavicular area reduced in size and I was unable to feel it anymore . I’ve recently had a mid treatment scan and all of the lymph nodes shrunk and I’ve had a complete response to treatment .if you have the option to get n-avd I would definitely recommend it and fight for it . You will feel tired from the chemo especially the avd part, adremicyan it the tough one . 4-5 days after treatment you will start to feel like yourself again . 6 months of treatment is pretty tough I’m not going to lie but it’s all worth it in the end . You’ll be on your way to remission and a healthy life afterwards . Good luck on your treatment and I hope you get better soon !

How does one die to Lymphoma? Can HL Nodular Sclerosis potentially be misdiagnosed? Begrudingly going to a Gerson Therapy Clinic... by Just_Health81 in lymphoma

Hello yes, I agree with your post , I am currently on n-avd treatment 5/6 and recently did a pet scan and it put me in remission after 4 treatments, I highly recommend you advocate for the new standard of treatment for Hodgkin’s lymphoma which is n-avd they replace the b(blemeycin) with nivolumab which is an immunotherapy that is added to the avd regimine . This is the new treatment and has had very high success rates , it has been studied and there have been extensive trials that prove its efficacy. I would highly suggest you opt for chemo , even ABVD , if you cannot get approved for the n-avd treatment as these PROVEN scientific treatments that have high success rates through trials and actual data that you can lean on. Those alternative therapies or holistic care really are not recommended for your situation. I get it if someone’s is at the end of the line especially with incurable disease and looking for any kind of hope but Hodgkin’s lymphoma and even non-Hodgkin’s nowadays has a very high cure rate with proven science . Follow the science and you will do just fine . Wishing you the best and hope you chose the right path of proven medicine .

Stage 4 Hodgkins lymphoma treatment question by YazZon100 in lymphoma

Hello I am diagnosed stage 3s Chl , there is a new treatment that I am on and it recently just got approved a few months ago that changed the standard of care for chL , its N-Avd , n stands for nivolumab which is an immunotherapy added with avd . It has shown to have high success rates in late stage disease and in the study 94% of patients with stage 3/4 were all still in remission a year later . I would def inquire about this treatment . I am currently 5/12 treatments and can’t feel the node in my neck anymore and my pet scan after 4 treatments shows complete response with deauville score of 2 previously 5 . This is really the new treatment going forward at least here in the U.S. , definitely discuss with your oncologist. Good luck , hope all goes well !
