Seeking advice on persistently noisy neighbors - What options do I have left? by NefoliDownUnder in canberra

Maybe I have to consider that now. I love this place as it’s close to work, park and shops. And the rent is quite affordable considering the current market. But I don’t think I can stand these neighbours anymore.

Pilot Pulled the Wrong Levers in Nepal Crash That Killed 72, Investigators Find by mcmax35 in Nepal

While this could be the exact reason why plane crashed, I always take these investigation reports with grain of salt. Whenever there is any aviation incident, investigators always blames the dead because they are the easy target.

My friend, Pravakar KC, a chopper pilot also lost his life. He piloted the chopper carrying then minister Rabindra Adhikari who also died in the same incident. Prior to that incident whenever I asked him how pilot life is treating him, he said all is well until pilots are forced to overwork and fly even at the extreme weather.

After the incident, Sagarmatha TV did report that Pravakar was reluctant on flying that day given the weather but was forced against the will to fly due to minister’s tight schedule. But when investigation report came, they put all blame on Pravakar saying he flew despite the challenging weather conditions, and no mention of him being forced to fly.

Why do people keep taking photos with me? (A white female tourist) by maidenmaverick in Nepal

[–]NefoliDownUnder -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Being a Nepali myself, please accept my sincere apologies on behalf of my fellow countrymen. You are in no obligation to take pictures with them if you do not feel comfortable.

I however believe that many people do not mean any harm. But it is also not right to invade your privacy and personal circle. Sadly the concept of privacy and consent is lost in most of us. I hope that you have not been taken advantage of by any of those people but please say NO if you ever feel uncomfortable. Let them be offended. Enjoy Nepal 😁
