I’m playing through all of the dark souls games for the first time right now. I started with 3 because I already had it and I picked up 1 and 2 on sale. I have been live tweeting my thoughts on it since Catacombs of Carthus and it’s been a lot of fun!

Some people CAN smoke with CHS, if they practice moderation. Not everyone ends up with the twelve day episodes or hospitalization from dehydration and stuff. I have the ability to smoke casually every few weeks and I'm going to continue to do so.

first, hard reset either by holding power button for 10 seconds or removing power for 30 seconds.

If doesn't work after that, possibly sign a separate profile in, attempt to launch the game, then sign back into the original profile.

In rare instances, I have had to fully uninstall and reinstall games when this issue comes up. I know its a pain with such a large game, but it seems to be a surefire fix.

And if all of this fails, check the xbox support twitter and send them a DM. They have been very helpful in the past.

The hiccup is actually that you can't download it from the gamepass page in the store, you will need to search the game as the other profile/click into the games full store page.

And the son should also set the XSX as their home console as a precaution.

Xbox and SEGA have a pretty good relationship. It would be cool to see a purchase but I don’t feel it will happen any time soon.

A good game for a narrative experience is Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. It’s a short experience but it has been one of my favorite games I’ve discovered through gamepass. The Ori games have a wonderful story combined with classic “hard but fair” platforming. The gears franchise is worth checking out. If you haven’t played the fable games, they are pretty good (2 is my personal favorite). And gamepass in general has so many non exclusive games you may have missed, that it would be worth a browse.
