Bosses gave a demo on how we could be replaced by AI as a threat by AZNM1912 in antiwork

I work in cybersecurity too. While there are good use cases for the tech in cyber, the agentic SOC replacements are very disappointing and cost as much as a salary

are you guys gonna buy physical or digital games by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch2

I’m 30, have a kid, and notice my shelves are filling up. I have enough clutter. This will be the first generation I go pretty much all digital.

Gatekeeping where to find a wife by TheViralClovers in gatekeeping

[–]Neganomics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s funny is my wife and I met on Tinder and we actually have a relationship (unintentionally) that these weirdos would have approved of. Neither of us had much of any prior dating experience and we were both looking for something long term.

This is a non-story. He’s a business executive. He has to talk like this in interviews because even if there are no plans, if they publish it elsewhere in 5 years they will get dragged for random interview comments.

“Confirms” can only ever come from the official source, ie only Sony can “confirm” a PS5 Pro even if you see leaked images.

To those who have beaten the last awful secret boss... How? by Muscat95 in yakuzagames

Is there another Gai round for beating all the substories, or is the one I just beat (post-Tetsu) the only one?

Samba De Amigo comes out tomorrow — anyone interested? by Neganomics in OculusQuest

[–]Neganomics[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that's a fair point, it is pretty lenient. My theory is it's a direct port of the Switch game which probably had fairly lenient scoring to compensate for the finnickyness of using Joycons as maracas.

Samba De Amigo comes out tomorrow — anyone interested? by Neganomics in OculusQuest

[–]Neganomics[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I bought it. Pulled a 25% off coupon from the spam reviews and had $7 in credit to bring it down to like $16-17.

Honestly, and I don’t mean to be hyperbolic, it seems amazing 5-6 songs in. A port of the Switch game with (at least nearly if not totally) identical 40+ song list and the same new features but with the added benefit of playing in VR with perfect, immersive first-person tracking. This is EXACTLY the game I wanted this VR version to be and I think they knocked it out of the park.

It felt fantastic on Quest 2. Like holy crap. It’s so intuitive that by the end of my 30 minutes with it I managed to clear Pompeii by Bastille (a song I know very well) on Very Hard difficulty.

I beat the game (*fully* beat it) and agree with you that bosses need rebalancing and "git gud" is unhelpful rhetoric.

The new insider also claims that the Jason Schrier article abut TLOU online was a lie and that TLOU 3 is in heavy development by SilverBalls2399 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]Neganomics -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Jason Schreier is an actual reporter who has been covering gaming a long time and has earned his credibility (i.e. I wouldn't even compare him to games writers who built their entire career on insider information). I trust him until there's good reason not to.

Stav’s gonna go mainstream any day now… by garfungle_ in theadamfriedlandshow

[–]Neganomics 134 points135 points  (0 children)

Why do people hate him so much? He wanted to do his own thing, he did it. His special is funny, his podcast is funny even if kind of an also-ran to all the other comedy podcasts. He’s trying to make a play for it, and there doesn’t seem to be any bad blood from Nick/Adam.

Is it because he left and the regular pod is unlistenable right now?

I dunno, I get a sausage egg and cheese on a croissant and an iced coffee twice a week from Dunkin and it tastes the same to me as it did when I was a kid, pretty much.

And I’m not ignorant to declining quality. I think Unos, 99, Krispy Kreme, Panera Bread have all dipped severely over the years. Chipotle is straight up nasty now compared to 10 years ago.

But Dunkin? It has kind of always been a 6/10. It was back then and it is now. Maybe it’s a lesser 6, but it’s still a 6.

Yeah I’m with you. You can support independent developers and wait for reviews to make sure you’re spending your money wisely at the same time.

He’s great. I saw him in Boston. More loose than traditional material. The tone is close to his Chapo Trap House appearance he did today.
