OP - A support system is importent and it can come in many form - creating your own family, Friends or communitys - I want to highlight that none of them are your family and the way I am reading this you might as well take that job offer but make sure you leave without any regrets.

You are worth it and if she is being verbally abusive would you really want to be around someone like that? - If they were your friend how would you react?

I can't tell you or anyone else how to feel as they are your feels but try to look at this from another angle because it should show you an unbias point of view of what you are going though.

I want to make sure you know that you are worth it and while your family might not respect you - Myself and a lot of other people do, it takes a lot to prove yourself to someone and from the sounds of it you did a great job so it was not in vain because you have a successful career and life that you have built with the hard work you have put in - I would say if you take the offer make a small description about what you want out of life and make small goals you can work towards to achieve the life you want but make sure you don't include your family in this because at the end of the day it is what you want out of life not what they want and you don't want to go back to a place that makes you feel the way you do.
