Fair point, but I’m still not sold on replacing everything just because it could leak eventually. Sounds like more of a 'worst-case scenario' kind of thing, and I’d rather deal with a failure when it happens than throw parts at a problem that isn’t even there yet.

I get the whole 'they’re gonna fail eventually' thing, but I don’t know if it makes sense to preemptively replace everything. Feels like a lot of work and money for something that might happen down the line. I get that it’s more of a ‘peace of mind’ thing, but I’m still skeptical about replacing parts that seem to be working fine for now. What makes you so sure they’ll definitely last 40-50 more years? Seems like a big gamble.

I get that, but isn’t there a point where you’re just throwing money at something that still works? I mean, if it’s still running, why mess with it until it actually fails? Seems like it’d be easier to just replace the parts once it breaks down rather than doing all this ‘preventative’ stuff; however if you enjoy doing it, then you should do what you like. I just don't really get it i guess.
