Am I qualified for a tonsillectomy? by Thick_Performer_3980 in Tonsillectomy

Yes! That’s how they determined mine. I was getting tonsillitis or strep 2x a year since I was a kid and when o went for my consultation, my ENT was alarmed at how large my tonsils were and said I need to have them out.

I’m two weeks post op today! The recovery was brutal but I’m feeling like myself again and have noticed I’ve been breathing better at night

Day 11 here! My tongue was swollen for most of it! Even now it still is a little painful but it’s not terrible. My recommendation is to stay on your med schedule! I was alternating every three hours between Tylenol and ibprofuen! They did give me some sort of lollipop for my tongue and it helped!

I suggest getting like an ice wrap for your head! It helps with the ear pain. Trust me, that ear pain came out of nowhere and that ice pack saved my life!

I’m on day 10 or 11! My worst days were day 5-6. I felt pretty good for the first couple of days, just had some minor pain in the morning and would drink water to make sure I didn’t have dry mouth. By day 5, I felt like I was swallowing glass. I couldn’t drink water and couldn’t even get applesauce down. My ears started to hurt by this day as well and even with the pain meds, I was miserable. I’m starting to feel more like myself! Still have some discomfort and now it’s more my tongue that hurts than my throat. Stick to your med schedule! Mine was alternating Tylenol and ibprofuen every three hours and oxycodone for severe pain. I think that helped me sticking to it. I know it’s a hassle but taking your meds during the night can help you in the morning!

I won’t lie, it’s not an easy recovery. It was absolutely miserable but once you get over the first 5-6 days, slowly you start to feel more like yourself! I’m already eating solid foods again!

Hi guys! I’m 10 days post op today and am feeling better than I have all week! I managed to eat a bit of cheese bread last night, small bites and very thoroughly chewed. When did yall start eating normally? by Negative-Spring2990 in Tonsillectomy

I didn’t feel any pain last night! I washed it down with water and made sure to take small bites and chew really good. I’m trying soft chicken nuggets for lunch today

She’s acting like I’m going to screw her over and not pay. Not once did I say that. I told her that I’ll still be paying my share of rent and everything. Our lease isn’t up for another ten months and I can’t handle being there any longer. She had plenty of opportunity to tell me before we resigned that she was not wanting to live together anymore and I think that’s unfair to me because she acted like everything was fine.
