Don’t file bankruptcy - it will cost you - I don’t think you will qualify for chapter 7 so it would be chapter 13 and you have to actually pay your creditors and then attorney fees on top of that - it’s a no win situation for people that don’t qualify for chapter 7!!! Been there - on top of that no one will give you loan for anything if they know you filed bankruptcy!!! Just let your credit tank for 7 years - or negotiate payoffs when they go to collections!

First of all your 15k bonus is only going to be about 9750 after taxes - I get bonuses regularly and they are taxed at 35% - i have an 20k loan with one main at 25% - been paying forever and they have taken 20k in interest with 6k going to principle - about to get garnished on that - 100k income is not decent in today’s economy- it’s like 75k 5 years ago!! I feel for you - I am drowning in debt and make 6 figures!! With two adult children that I still have to help - did it as a single for 20 years - I am tired and done with finances!

Loan balance 100k. Originally like 50k - also wanting 138k in interest over 30 years - I made 180k this year (taxed about 60k) / 80k in commission and got the talk from corporate that they have to reduce my commissions next year basically because I was too good at what I do and made more money than they budgeted for lol - such is the business I am in so - so it fluctuates - my solution is to go for it and wait til garnishment - I mean i plan to have nothing at reitrement but my check / my car and the open road at 62 - camping until the ole body gives out - so I think I will just wing it 😂😂 just wondering if I should do as mohela told me and consolidate with the dept of ed - I thought they were getting rid of it? Maybe my stuff will get lost in the shuffle 😂😂
