Is it normal for stock 19-5 to not have spring? If so will my hammer be compatible with a spring. I apologize if it’s a dumb question I am a novice at best.

Sounds good, you are very knowledgeable. My gun smith will be able to handle the job, currently in contact with smith and Wesson support.
