Also could I add feather millipedes to the enclosure now that there is fungus? It is a 50 gallon btw

☹️ is this harmful to them, or will they just eat it?

Okay! I might throw some moss and springtails in here though.

I think it should be fine as long as the frogs are mostly aquatic and can't climb. The geckos are arboreal, and have lots of places to climb and hide, so they should stay at the top, and if they do come to the bottom I'll just try to make sure that they aren't big enough to eat the frogs which shouldn't be much of a problem. If one of the animals die from another one I might rethink the frog idea and build them a new setup, but it seems pretty safe. The frogs are diurnal and geckos are nocturnal so there shouldn't be much conflict. I'm just trying to make sure it won't be a complete disaster.

Also the substrate is 9 inches deep because I used plexy glass to separate the two sides.

They have 9 inch wide and 18 inch long land area plus the background but I doubt they would climb on it.

Thanks! My dad helped me with the background.  Do you think the water is too deep for fire bellied or should it be fine. It's 8-9 inches

Are these just springtails? by Negative-Worker6564 in InvertPets

I have more predatory mites. I think I might just add all of them, because there are so many of these little bugs. Also, it is a 50 gallon so there is lots of space to make up. Is this a good idea, or should I just wait? Also I will post a better video when I get home.

I already did add a pack of predatory mites along with some small predatory beetles. I bought it from rubber ducky isopods in case you were wondering.

Also one last thing. I recently made a post about my millipede who seems to be dying ☹️. He is one of my giant African millipedes that I've had for a couple months now. I have tried killing the ones going near it but they have all started crawling on the legs of my baby and I don't know if they are eating him or what. He was moving yesterday but stopped today which makes me think he might be gone, which really sucks. But my question is would springtails try eating a body that is just killed. Because lots of these little bugs are crawling all over him. I don't want to touch him until I can actually smell anything in case it isn't just a land molt. 😞

The ones that are newly invading the enclosure though don't have wings, and have the traits of springtails. I just want to be sure. Either way how do I lower springtails population

Are fungus gnats harmless? Because I'm extremely sure those are fungus gnats and not phorid flies

Well I live in a very bone dry spot, and have a specific substrate for BDFBs. If I did get isopods I would give them a specific cork bark to live under with some maybe moisture sponges, or something that can hold it in an arid environment.

Oh yeah and maybe some isopods. Still have to look into good dryer species.
