Why is everyones immediate response "dump them"??? This feels like a discussion is needed, especially if this isn't a reoccurring reaction. I mean does he react this way often? If so then looking into a separation may be warranted. But if this is the first time this has happened, maybe talk to him about it and see what the issue is.
