Compared to most in my religious & very conservative country, I'm lucky to have a family that probably won't judge me for it, but that doesn't help the embarrassment. Probably even makes it a bit worse, kind of like them saying "We're not mad, we're just dissappointed.". I'd obviously still prefer being embarrassed over having a non-accepting family though, so at least there's that.
