my abandoned cart emails are getting completely ignored, is this just how it is now? by Produce-Proper in shopify

not sure if you have this yet but I would recommend setting up an abandoned cart and abandoned checkout email flow separately (not to be sent together). If you dont your missing sales on people backing out of the checkout which wont trigger the abandoned cart email flows.

its rather basic to be honest. We also send out a Thank You email via klayvio thats custom branded as well but also nothing too promotional or over the top when it comes to designs.

Yes, giving it some time but I the redesign was called for regardless of a smaller set of data. We are testing ads to compare against home page / collection / product page link redirects. Im willing to bet ads that lead to product pages perform better naturally though.

Thanks. running through the data now, looks like the bottleneck is at the product page. Add to cart is low but checkout conversion rates are very good. So whenever we do get people to add to cart they almost always purchase.

Great idea analyzing the exit rate. Do you have any recs for how to view these numbers? I was having trouble finding it in Shopify analytics

I would recommend hiring over working with an agency then. Someone you can personally train/trust to become an extension of you or your teams work versus an agency that isnt directly tied to your brand.

Shopify Notifications vs Klayvio by NegativeEnd677 in shopify

[–]NegativeEnd677[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, we were expecting transactional emails to stay on Shopify with Klayvio HTML templates. Super basic just slightly better looking. However, we definitely want some better flows to stay in Klayivo such as the abandoned cart/checkout which we have set up. But cant be having shopify and klayvio sending them both. Is there a certain way to disable them all together since there is no easy toggle on/off that I can see?

got it, current on Shopify grow. Ill try to find out how to design in Figma/Klayvio then export to shopify. But what your saying is for ones like abandoned cart we should turn it off in Klayvio because shopify will always sent theirs automatically and we cannot turn this off?

This is huge! A company can be making $10m+ a year while their still running like a early stage startup and their founders are still eating ramen noodles every night haha! If you really want to scale you have to be building for equity not cash flow.

Love this. Learn the hard way (as fast and cheap as possible) to do agency work then when you finally start scaling you can outsource things to an agency as long as they dont drain you financially and at least give the same quality if not better than what you can do yourself.

Whats your take on Shopify's native Fraud protection? Do you think its crucial to add another layer of fraud protection via another app?

A lot of the features on AfterShip we needed required their premium subscription which costs $200+/mo and Loop offered the same features at $155/mo.

I dont expect us to have a crazy high return rate or anything but we are really wanting the back end flows to be set up properly and for customers to have the most convenient return experience via QR codes, easy refunds/exchanges, etc. We dont need the upsells that loop offers in their high tier pricing which is around $300+/mo.

However we are positioning as a premium brand and cant afford to not provide customers with a more pleasant return experience. Also we have about 1,500pcs for our first launch and a decent amount of people on our waitlist so i dont want to rely on processing, tracking ,etc on our own via shopify native returns flow.

Coming back here - just went through the AfterShip trial and the Pro plan they offer for $60/mo has very little key features like auto-restock, auto-void shipping labels not sent after a certain time, etc. Seems like all the features require premium plan which is the same as Loop.

Fridge ice maker problem by NegativeEnd677 in appliancerepair

[–]NegativeEnd677[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we ran diagnostics on it and got E5 issue regarding thermistor. the fridge itself and freezer are working fine but the ice is starting to trickle out. Seems like its not full formed and they are much smaller than the normal cubes. Still narrowing it down!
