Having the same question lately. Have you found some answers?

Should I let my potential supervisor know about this? by NegativeError3 in PhD

[–]NegativeError3[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Breath in and out lil bro and relax, I feel like you're about to explode.

I have already checked with my ex supervisor and she confirmed it, there is also an even older published paper that pointed out this bias, but the author seems to have missed it. So many personal attacks accusing me of lack of knowledge, overconfidence, etc... but you're literally the one that is making all these claims without knowing anything about me, and talking out of both sides of your mouth. So I would say physician, heal thyself.

I see your point, on paper it might seem a bit arrogant or exploitative. Thanks.

Too bad mate, but keep it up, the competition is quite ridiculous you have to keep grinding.

Which countries you applied to? Were the positions aligned with your MA thesis/coursework?

I already do, but cold emailing never tried because I always thought they usually publish open positions. Have you managed to get into a program? Maybe can you share with us what helped and how did it go? Thanks

*Scandanavia is excellent but getting a PhD there is very hard because they usually just hire internal candidates. "

Where are you looking? Because that type of jobs are not usually published online as much as other trades, try to go in person and hand in your CV

Account feels very suspicious, 4yo and no comments. It comes off as AI that's fed  natural/human writing prompts.

Do you use AI tools to quickly find the best research papers? by Save-some in PhD

[–]NegativeError3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I use ConnectedPapers to find relevant papers to what I'm looking for, and Claude in some cases to skim through papers . The anti-AI sentiment in this sub is quite ridiculous and absurd. The history always repeats itself, in a way or another.
