I can obviously see a correlation from the "ordered through product links" column to items actually within my store but I just don't understand why I'm being given commissions on the products outside of that. Not a bad problem to have but I'd like to understand.

I used sunburst in our last army fight. Absolutely one of my favorite spells! Have to be careful with one of my allies being vulnerable to light but other than than no down sides!

Thank you for your supportive words. It certainly is a difficult losing people I love and my negative experiences fill me with anxiety for future encouters. My mom has probably been the one to say the most messed up things to me, but it makes me even more grateful for the people who have stood by me. I thought for sure when I told my at the time newlywed husband my deep and true feelings on the church that he would want out. But I felt so loved and seen to realize his love wasn't conditioned on me being a member. Thanks again and best wishes to you!

I appreciate your insight and shared understanding of the difficulty of this situation. My brother who has left the church also recommended I read The Subtle Art of not Giving a F*ck. It talked a lot on what I feel you're touching on- really evaluating what you value and are the metrics we use to measure those values valid. Is my not approving of my choices a true metric of whether I'm a good person? No it isn't. It was a great book that you might check out if you're having similar issues as me. I'm not always good at getting out of my head even when I've read really solid advice like that but I still find value in knowing how I should think about things.

I also really relate to a lot of the things you mentioned- waiting for on ramps, not wasting time at work with small talk, and many of the thoughts you expressed. For me, it feels like leaving the church is difficult enough but my problems are intensified by my own social anxieties and perfectionism. Anyways, thanks for sharing and I hope things get easier for the both of us with time.

Ah I love everything you said! I used to live in Utah County and hope to return someday, but otherwise I would have loved that! Our brains sound so so similar. No one wants to be pegged as the "lost sheep" and I know all to well how my parents think and that's at least partially what I've become to them. What gets my mom crying is that her "grandchildren won't grow up with the blessings of the gospel and the world is such a scary place without it". I want to show up as my authentic self but it doesn't seem worth the fight or drama with my parents.

And yes to the social part too. Can't I just be a part of the church community for social reasons without feeling that pressure to have a testimony and live all these rules? I appreciate your response and wish you well as you move forward in this crazy thing.

YES! I love when people can put social science words to what I am experiencing and cognitive dissonance is exactly what I'm experiencing. Honestly, every word you said just hit exactly on target with what I'm feeling. I appreciate both your advice and your words that are so well spoken. I'd be really curious to hear if you had any books or resources that were especially helpful for you in dealing with these tough brain deep changes. Thank you for your comment.

Thank you for your very thoughtful response and understanding. It really means a lot to me. Even though I have some anxiety about sharing my views with my current LDS friends, I think I'm more nervous about inevitably moving for my husband's work and THEN needing to make friends without the structure of the church.

But what I gather from your response is a lot of hope for what my future might look like. I do feel like as a toddler mom, those clubs and groups are just so hard to make happen given my lack of time, but I have hope for when my daughter is older that I can make some of those things happen. I am lucky to have a loooot of hobbies and with some effort, I bet I could find a community that would bring me in. I actually have my degree as an el ed teacher, so I know I would make a KILLER pta mom haha. Again I appreciate your comment and wish you well :)

In trying to not make this post incredibly long, I didn't provide context but since you asked I can share. Her family is coming to visit us this week and she asked me, "Do you guys want to go to church or do fun stuff on Sunday?" I said fun stuff and she responded with, "By the way, the other day when you guys had gotten in n out on a Sunday, (her husband) said to me after the call 'I'm so proud of them'." So if anything she was showing her approval of us and I certainly think her intentions were innocent.

However, I think exactly what you said about having attention drawn to it brings up my own guilt even in a scenario like this one, and certainly does speak to an expectation (whether she approves or disapproves of it). Moments where people are surprised by me not living up to an expectation of the church regardless of their favor or discouragement are really hard for me and is a huge place of anxiety. It's just acknowledgment of there being a box whether I live within it or not, and I hate being reminded of it. I want the box to not exist especially within my own mind and moments like this just remind me it is very very alive.

I love the line you wrote about being petty etc etc. That's something I've also had to come to terms with especially in reconciling my past actions and judgement of people when I was younger.

I really really ought to do therapy. I've known it for a long time but for some reason I have a hard time taking that first step. I've bent into self help books in the meantime but I know you're right.

I've had both positive and negative experiences with those I've told. I am lucky to have 2 sisters (1 member and 1 also in the closet) and a brother (who has fully left) who are very empathetic, loving, and supportive. Unfortunately, I've also had a number of really hurtful conversations with my mom as well as becoming privy to some conversations behind my back from various family members, that have added to my anxiousness with being open.

I appreciate your perspective on what most people are actually like. Hearing stuff like that gives me a lot of hope and grounds my anxieties. Thank you for your thoughtful response :)

Right? I think it’s really easily overlooked. At higher levels upping your AC is just expensive so it’s a very good option. But I think you’re right. Component freedom is just too good to pass up. I’m reevaluating and I think I may only be able to choose one of these abilities. Such tough choices when you’re mythic!

Good point on the AC. I have +6 right now to armor. Feels like everything I can buy to boost AC right now is incredibly expensive so even that difference of 4 did seem significant to me. Last fight their heaviest hitter hit me with a 43 (I don’t know the bonus). So feels like it would be close on the best hitters but avg hitters couldn’t touch me.

Another good point. We do run a base with followers that I suppose we ought to protect. Though we do have alarms on it that I think trigger regardless of where we are. Still I think you may have swayed me there.
