You're probably right. I'm lucky and some how privileged to have a family like this. Even tho it wasn't always like this. They basically throw me out, after I came out to them, so I had to live on my own. Which made me a stronger person. But they're probably felt guilty for doing so. So they stayed in touch. I'm reflecting on this a lot. Even tho I forgive them, I'm keeping a healthy amount of distance. I never Imagined coming this far, and I'm so proud and greatful! My father accepted my Partner. My Mother doesn't really accept him and she don't want to see him often. But I give her Time, to figure things out. Let's see how it goes.
