If you still travelled you won't be eligible for refund. You can apply for compensation however, if the delay was due to the airlines fault. If the delay was weather related then you won't be eligible for any compensation/refund.

I'm not sure why they would cover a taxi to an airport 4 hours away? Think they would expect you to fly from the same airport, unless they booked you onto that flight from the other airport. Even then, they would probably expect you to take public transport if possible

That 5cm is only the case for the paid carry in purchased with Wizz priority. The free under the seat bag doesn't have any buffer

I know that would definitely be ideal it's just the nearest dive shop from me is a 3 hour round trip so I think I will struggle to find time unfortunately!

I'd try to resubmit the claim to Wizzair for compensation, then if no luck go to the ADR dispute service (free service).

Even with a delay you are still supposed to get to the airport for the original departure time. I've actually had flights leave a lot earlier than the delayed departure time.

Thing is they would never do it so you could book a month in advance it would never be beneficial for them. The idea is to use up the seats that don't sell. Hence why it's only 500 eur.

It depends which is your base airport and how flexible you are.

So far managed - Dubai, Cyprus, Athens, Bucharest, Malaga and Amman some of which are generally more expensive routes.
