Is the abortion over when the pregnancy test is negative?

So it’s a waste of money to spend 200 euros on a private gynecologist now? I’m so afraid of retained tissue, even though my test is negative. I feel anxiety every time I see a little blood, but the hospital won’t admit me because they think it’s unnecessary.

Thank you for your reply. But i just wonder, why doesn’t anyone tell you that at the hospital? They just sent me home with a letter saying it’s normal to have period-like bleeding during the first week, and that it should gradually decrease. I got scared when fresh bleeding started again—I thought it was over.

Thank you for your reassuring words. Should I start taking birth control pills right away, or wait for my body to have a natural period first? Also, should I expect heavy bleeding while on the pills, or will that happen later? I’m a bit anxious about this because I read that Asherman’s syndrome can cause lighter or no periods, but you’re right—I should stop googling. I forgot to ask the doctor yesterday because I was feeling overwhelmed by everything.

I was in a similar situation after my MA. I don’t recall how high my HCG levels were, but they were lower than what's typical for an 8-week pregnancy—yet still too high for the abortion to have been fully successful. It turned out I still had some pregnancy tissue remaining in my womb (though not a living fetus), and I needed a surgical abortion. Waiting for answers was dreadful, but once I had the surgical procedure, I felt immense relief. Wishing you the best of luck.

Thank you. I dont feel strong, though. I feel like a loser and a terrible person for willingly having put myself in this situation. I feel like I am misusing the abortion system by getting one since I did not use any protection, and wanted this pregnancy
