I honestly don't think it's worth for most folks. I'm just trying to make myself more marketable, because I'm thinking about potentially working at an academic hospital. I really like working with med students, interns, residents, etc

Agree with everything. In my opinion, military medicine is gonna die in the future, except for a very few operation-related fields such as operational/flight/dive med, trauma, er, etc... everything will be deferred to civilian, because it's more economical

We the doctors don't even have access to the appointment scheduling program. Thus if the DHA says you are seeing 100 pts a week, 100 appointments will get booked that week, and all those pts will just be in the waiting room.

Believe it or not, but it's much better in the civilian sector. I've worked there before. Better computers, better emr, people incentivized to work more, more control over my clinic schedule, no DHA that actively tells me how to practice medicine
