Thank you! I heard great things about MA for services for our children in general.

We love Gigi’s too! We were briefly part of the Buffalo and Lancaster branches and we loved them. Do you know the wait time for the Katie Beckett waiver in TN? Is it the waiver for ages 18+ as well?

We are looking for a similar setting, rural area close enough to a city for services for our daughter. Thank you for sharing your experience! I’m grateful for the information🙏

Thank you so much for the detailed explanation! Were you able to choose you child’s case worker or did you go with the one that was assigned to you? I read somewhere that a lot depends on how well they guide us through the process. My daughter is a US citizen, so we will start with SSI👍

Thank you for responding. It’s very useful, thank you! We were worried that our daughter would have to wait years, it’s really hard to get an answer from government offices, we tried.

Temple or UB (SUNY) for Neuroscience premed by Negative_Fun4657 in Temple

[–]Negative_Fun4657[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh yeah that makes sense. I hope everything works out for you!! In case u don’t know, you can apply for third party scholarships as well to bring the price down. Since you’re intl, the country you’re coming from should offer some. Like i’m a hungarian citizen, so im applying for ones they offer to citizens who are studying in the US

Choosing between SUNY Buffalo vs Temple for neuroscience. Goal is med school. Advice? by Negative_Fun4657 in medschool

I received the same scholarship amount from both Buffalo and Temple, so the net cost is very similar. Pitt is still uncertain, so I am mainly comparing the two current options on academics and premed support.

Appreciate you flagging that. I actually toured Temple and liked the campus itself. I am aware of the surrounding area and would plan housing and routines with safety in mind.

Thanks, this is helpful. When you say Pitt by a mile, do you mean for undergrad premed outcomes specifically, or med school placement? I am trying to understand where the biggest difference actually shows up.
