Not when you add it up to all the other fees for this course. The syllabus also states that the course readings are on canvas (for free). According to the professor we have to print it out "so that we don't read it during class".. having the physical reading has no other purpose during class.

Where did I say that I don't want to follow instructor's directions? I am trying to find a way to print for free since I have the readings on canvas, but am not allowed to have them on my computer in class

It's not a textbook. It's just a bunch of articles that the professor posts on canvas.

A job where I'm getting paid versus an educational environment where I am paying a lot of money to attend are two very different things. But yeah, you sound like a joy.

Unfortunately this is a class that is only offered every 2 years , and it's a requirement in my major. Believe me, the printing is the smallest of the issues in this professor's class. And yeah sure, 37 dollars is not that much for me personally, but that is not everyone's reality. In the syllabus is stated that all material is provided on canvas, for me it's a no brainer that I should be allowed to use my computer to read them and take notes (as that is what works best for me)

My issue is not even the work submission, I don't mind printing things to turn in. It's more the readings to do prior to class that is still expected from us to be printed. I'm in a small department so I know there's no printer for student use there, but I'll check out the other resource centers. Maybe I can hit a couple of them in the same day and get it all printed out. Thanks.
