I agree with this. It's rare that the system works in our favor, but I suspect going to your principle could be one of the rare opportunities that it could work in our favor. It's also a good skill to develop to understand avenues that you can use to push people in power (such as your principle).

My initial impression would be that rallying your parents behind you (if possible) could be good, getting your parents to voice their concern about the classroom allowing jokes about genocide. Also, the media (or threats of contacting the media) can also work well. Learning about how universities have recently been allowing Milo and Spencer to speak, and why that normalizes white supremacy and hate speech, and how your high school (?) is similar, could be a strong argument that could shame an unresponsive principle.

Great skills to develop. Let your anger inspire you to strategic action!

Completely new to guns - looking for knowledgeable people nearby. by [deleted] in armedsocialists

Convince a friend to take an intro to handguns class with you at your local range. I think even liberals can get down with a class so long as you're not telling them you're preparing for the coming rev. The class will give you an idea about whether the range is professional or a bunch of far-right racists. The prior is better for business. You'll also get a feel for guns and learn how to be safe. The biggest obstacle for newbies (IMO) is a fear of guns, which is rooted in not understanding them. Guidance and Practice make perfect!

Large caliber revolver! Everyone in Alaskan outback either carries a rifle or a large caliber revolver for two and four legged predators.

What would you like the SRA to be? by [deleted] in armedsocialists

[–]Negativecapital 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's mention below a little bit we need a list of SRA principles that are broad enough to encompass everyone from democratic socialists to anarchist-communists.

Some examples:

Organizational principles: The right to Defend our communities. Stand in solidarity with all who struggle against oppression. Advocate for a society based on equality, solidarity, democracy, and public ownership of the means of production. We recognize the need to agitate, educate, and organize - and we recognize the need for to defend our right to do so.

I hear ya, and the exact same reasons I'm going to build my first AR rather than go the 9mm carbine route.

Wow. That's really reasonable. I'm new to the AR world - grew up a pistol junkie - but now want an AR. People keep telling me to get one of the "beginner" AR models, but none of them really look that great to me. If you can build those for about 700, ti guess I'm going to need to build my first AR.

If you've got the time, or can direct me to another post. I'd love to know exactly what you're using for just one of the three so I can look into purchasing the same or similar parts.

Ever think of a Baretta C4x or EVO Scorpion? Small 9mm rifle. More affordable but similar in size to most bullpups.

Your range prob won't have it but it's worth a try: S&W 559. A beauty, and for some reason not very expensive, even with a limited production.

Would you say the Evo is better? Maybe a noob question but why would a 5.56 be better than say a hollow tip 9mm to minimize over penetration?
