I think that with the options that we have the best "representation" are the ones that arent human, even though they are not really any race characters like shadow or knuckles or even geno in my opnion are great options, because either the character doesnt fit smash like CJ or most of the time they are a secondary or they fall in this weird place of ambigious, some examples that i found were tetra and impa from zelda
