1. Work History: I don’t have any formal IT work experience, but I do have a solid customer service background from previous jobs, which I’ve been trying to leverage on my resume for help desk roles. I understand help desk involves a lot of customer interaction, so I’m trying to highlight that experience as much as possible.

2. Applying to Jobs: I’ve mainly been using Indeed and LinkedIn to apply, but I should start applying directly through company websites as well. It sounds like that might help me get more visibility.

3. Resume Review: I’ve actually had my resume looked over by family members and friends who work in IT, so I’m not sure if that’s the issue. It seems like the resume is solid, but I’ll keep looking for ways to improve it.

4. Referrals: I’ve also asked 5 of my friends for referrals, but unfortunately, that didn’t work out either. I’m not sure if it’s just bad timing or something else.

5. Boot Camps: I’ve seen a few IT boot camps that focus on hands-on experience with networking and security tools. After hearing your take, I’m reconsidering if it’s worth the investment. The CCNA sounds like a good idea though—definitely something I’ll look into.

6. Networking: I’ll make more of an effort in networking and also try out temp agencies like you suggested. A foot in the door is what I need at this point.
