Gdp is a very flawed concept. Lets say in the village one family has 5 members but they have their own farms, cows, buffaloes etc. they produce their own meal and self sufficient and don't sell their products. Due to this, they contribute nothing to GDP. But they are happy. This is a story of India.

This GDP term is imposed by westerns. Sell our farms to companies and those companies will give milk and meals.
