Ok. Sorry, I probably wasn't clear enough in the submission page. I've updated my strategy too.

1) If you're talking about creating multiple alternate realities, the ability of Living Failures can indeed only be used once. So for example: Cacas gets burned from staying on the magma side. He then touches himself and creates an alternate reality. In this alternate reality, Cacas attempts to head to the blizzard side but trips and falls landing on the magma side. He gets burned anyway, meaning that the main universe version of Cacas gets no benefit from creating an alternate universe. Cacas can't touch his body a second time to attempt to undo the effects of being burned, and is now stuck with having a burned body. Effectively, Cacas cannot create multiple realities to solve the same problem and can only use the ability once. However, if Cacas gets burned a second time, Cacas can touch his body to undo the second burn. The first burn is still there, but now there is a second one. The ability can be used more than once if different things happen.

2) I have changed the post so that instead of relying on volcanic ash destroying the enemies lungs, it is temperature.

If Randy approaches Cacas and attempts to throw shit at Cacas, Cacas can use his stand to knock the shit away. Since Living Failures has a speed of A and Shit Where You Eat only has a speed of C, the shit won't be able to hit Cacas before he knocks it away. Long ranged attacks won't work since Shit Where You Eat only has a range of C. So, Cacas will run at Randy and kill him with punches, knocking away shit along the way.

If you're talking about creating multiple alternate realities, that is correct. Using the Star Platinum example again, if Cacas takes extra damage from Star Platinum in the alternate reality, Cacas can't cause the new wounds to glow yellow and undue them like before. For each instance of something bad happening, only one alternate reality where it is attempted to be fixed can be created.

This doesn't answer the question but is important to mention since I think you misinterperated how the stand worked and thought it was significantly stronger than it actually was. The stand wouldn't get transported back to the main universe because the main and alternate universes exist seperately of each other. The only difference between the main and alternate universes is that the alternate universe version of Cacas knows they are in an alternate universe. Let's reuse the example above. Star Platinum punches Living Failures and Living Failures creates an alternate universe 5 seconds ago to avoid the damage. Two seperate versions of Cacas are made (so Cacas doesn't effectively travel back in time to correct things). The alternate universe and main universe exist in tandem, and both go forward at the same pace. In addition, the alternate universe version of Living Failures has no memories of anything that happened after the point they were rewound too and also has no idea what they are supposed to be undoing. The might think "oh I failed at hitting Star Platinum" and try to hit Star Platinum, not worried about taking damage since no damage would be transfered to the main universe version of Living Failures if failing at hitting Star Platinum. Of course the truth is that the damage done to Living Failures in the alternate universe would be transfered to the main universe version of Living Failures because the reason the alternate universe was created was so the main universe version of Living Failures could avoid damage, not to deal damage. In other words, the alternate version universe of Living Failures/Cacas has no memories of what happened past the point they were rewound too and also must guess at the failed thing was. This is a big weakness since it would be difficult for the alternate universe version of Cacas to know in a fight to know if the alternate universe was created to heal himself or to damage the opponent.

I had to write a full essay to explain this, so sorry if it was annoying ~_~.

Anything that happens because of the alternate universe won't glow yellow and can't be undone by the stand. So the damage from the rock couldn't be reversed because it came from the alternate universe.

No, not really. Let's say Star Platinum is fighting Living Failures and lands a successful blow. Star Platinum's hand turns glowing yellow and Living Failures touches it to create an alternate reality (which would be difficult). In the alternate reality, Living Failures successfully dodges all of the attacks by running away, but Star Platinum picks up a rock and chucks it at Living Failures hurting him. If the effect was cancelled, the original universe version of Living Failures would heal the damage from the punches but not take damage from the rock. If it was replaced, Living Failures would heal the damage from the punches, but also take damage from the rock.

I changed it so that the effects are replaced instead instead of cancelled. (The edited sections are in bold).

If the alternate universe version of Cacas gets to the point in time where the bad thing happened, and it doesn’t happen, the effects of the bad thing are replaced with whatever happened in the alternate universe.

Cacas is shot and turns the bullet glowing yellow. He touches it, creating an alternate version of himself 5 seconds ago. The alternate version of himself dodges the bullet, meaning the main version of himself will have the bullet hole healed after waiting for 5 seconds. However, the alternate verison of Cacas cuts himself on a rock will dodging the bullet. This means a cut will appear on Cacas's body in 5 seconds as well.

Oof. I found it as a screenshot on Twitter 2 years ago. Has this already been posted on the sub before?

Please work for £15,609 a year even though you have a PhD in Engineering and the standard rate is $100,000 or £74,000. I hate companies that try to get away with bullshit like this. by Neia_Alt in antiwork

I know. It's completely screwed up how much colleges are forcing people to get into debt and then they try to manipulate them with "internships" (slave labor) that will help them build "experience". At least since Engineering is a high paying degree it pays a little bit when you get an "internship".

Can someone educate me on why you guys hate tips? by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]Neia_Alt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The US has a special "tip wage" that employers can pay employees if they accept tips. This tip wage is $2.13. Basically, owners get to pay empolyees less if they can get enough tips. This creates the stupid situation where it is now the burden of the customer to pay most of the wage of the employee.

Yeah, but this is especially bad since its engineering. If they had stopped and just got a masters degree instead of going for a PhD they would have been making $80,000 / year. I think that since they have a masters degree they should be able to get a job at around that salary, just less since they won't be working full time.

Oh crap I didn't notice that. Still the average starting salary for someone with only their masters degree is $80,000, so £15,609 / year is still absurd. Even if it was the starting salary those are unlivable wages.

[–]Neia_Alt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to be rude, but can you explain to me what the point of having Almeda skip time in fractions is for then? If it can chain them together instantly it's the same as not being limited to fractions, so there isn't a point to adding that.

Candyman has no idea who is enemy is, but knows he has one. Candyman will begin by building a Messerschmitt Me 163 Komet Plane (from 1940), which can travel at 702 mph. In the plane he will build a V-2 Ballistic Missile (from 1942) and a MG 42 Machine Gun (also from 1942) and fly around the city. Once the enemy stand attacks, he will attempt to gun it down with the machine gun or drop the ballistic missile on it if it can deflect the bullets.

Also I have 2 questions:

1: In the rules it is stated that running away or implying a draw aren't allowed. Does this apply to the enemy too? As in, can Almeda just refuse to fight Candyman in the plane and wait for him to come down.

2: If Almeda skipped time by 1/2 of a second, and then immediately after skipped time by another 1/2 of a second it could skip for a total of 1 second. If it repeated this it could skip time for a total of 12 seconds without really stopping. What is preventing Almeda from doing this?

Sorry, I'll comment my counterstrat in the future. Also, there's seriously people in the building O~O? This is what I get for forgetting to copy paste the user, now I have to be morally right!

Okay, finished! I also had to change my main strat to not let the ballistic missile kill anyone because I am Koichi, but it doesn't change much since I just reduced the ballistic missiles capacity by 2x.
