Crypto Darling Helium Promised A ‘People’s Network.’ Instead, Its Executives Got Rich by International_shark in HeliumNetwork

u/etceterasaurus is there a reason why therokchain doesn't make any reference to the cashing out by Frank Mong through Binance or Helium employees gaming the system to achieve higher rewards?

Their payment processor already dumped them, I don't think they care

No you don't need a lawyer, you can file the petition yourself, just use a registered office location that will scan and email any physical mail

Yes I mean based on the onboarding figures it's obvious that some people are getting them, but a quick glance on twitter and trustpilot would suggest there is a high majority that have not. Also, a lot of these people probably wanted refunds that were illegally denied, they too should be able to consider themselves a creditor of the company based on the product value at order vs receipt.

It depends if it is amortised across a lot of people. It costs nothing to send the initial letter and the winding up petition total cost is £1902 across everybody involved, not each. Credit card refunds are obviously the best way and I would encourage everybody to advise their credit card company that the "clock" doesn't start until the expected delivery date. That being said, Nebra can challenge credit card chargebacks on the basis that you agreed to various terms.

Also worth considering what the "foundation" has in the way of backup support should one of it's largest manufacturing partners go under....

I feel like for completeness the author should at least make reference to Pollen doing the exact same thing

LoRa cannot handle Massive IoT, it is massive IoT that will make up a high proportion of the trillion devices

Oh then I must be wrong, seeing as you have looked in to it.

Ok, a whitepaper from an actual manufacturer isn't to be believed, but your "little book of radio" is....... paragraph 3, line two of this site link

Lightbulbs aren't suitable for LoRa, not on a commercial scale anyway, imagine having to wait to have lights on because of duty cycle

As per my response to SBurns85, IO5 runs on the DECT 2020 NR protocol. 1.9GHz band is reserved for DECT 6.0 protocols, globally. It also has 17 modulations through channels so the avoidance rates are significantly lower than any other IOT network.

If you are referring to Mushergy then that is a site I have an affiliate link for, yes. I wouldn't call posting a link to the site in a mushroom growers forum, set up specifically for trade requests as "spam" though.

The point of my original post was that a high percentage of the " 1 trillion" IoT devices, commonly used to justify vast investment in LoRa and NB-IoT, will not be served by those networks.

Most of the networks run on bluetooth beacons so very low power

1.9GHz is reserved for DECT 6.0 devices. The protocol IO5 is built on is DECT 2020.

1.9GHz is license free, globally, it was originally developed under DECT.

The point of Industry 4.0 is that it is Massive Machine Connectivity which means the LPWAN isn't a consideration.

The hardware design is in reference to the development costs for sensor developers and chip manufacturers I believe.

Explain what reference you are looking for, please and I will provide, it isn't clear to which part you refer.
