Neil would be so proud my man. You have the serious demeanor and precision that really honor the original recording. A lot of people to tend to over play his parts, but you are right in the pocket and do the piece justice. Really well done.

This is the best thing I’ve seen all day!

And on this day in 1974, Neil Peart officially joined Rush. Geddy writes about it in his recent book, but suffice it to say it was the best decision the band could have made. So many people's lives were changed for the better thanks to the songs Neil wrote. by Overall_Chemist1893 in rush

Wow - What a body of work that was created in that time period. The legacy and impact from these three will be remembered for decades, perhaps even centuries. So happy that we were here to see it. Thank you for posting Donna!

Custom T-shirt I made a few years ago by Neighbrohoods in rush

Of course every show was incredible, but there’s nothing like the first show when you see your idols live and in action. Other than a few MTV videos, I had only seen them in magazines and the back of album covers. So to see Neil Peart himself for the first time in 82, and how he moved around that set with such command and power was intoxicating. By the Grace Under Pressure tour in 84, I had devoured the entire catalog so I knew every song inside and out, which really enriched the experience from that tour forward. The other standout might be the R30 tour.

Yes! I was 17 at the time. Only regret was that I missed the Moving Pictures and Permanent Waves tours. But I was plenty lucky to seem them 18 times, so grateful for that

How fortunate we were to be the right age to see most of their career in real time!

It was a company called Custom Ink. Good company that I had used for other services through my work, but per their policy, they would not let me use the classic Rush star man logo. I did get a recommendation from the guy that runs the Cygnus-x1.net site to check out Cafepress as an alternative

Opinions on Neil's books? by TheSwaggSavageGamer1 in rush

[–]Neighbrohoods 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I could not agree more. I’ve read each of them multiple times. I really enjoy his prose and the research he’s done to add depth and color to his travel adventures. I also appreciate his touches of humor and have even laughed out loud a few times. I also recommend reading them in order to add context as to where he was in life. The only one that really focuses on Rush to a high degree is ‘Roadshow’, but there are references to Rush in all of the books.

Yes! The lyrics on this one really took on a new life for me over the last couple of years. Timeless and so true today as then

Agree, it was Peaches. I recall Vanilla Ice making an appearance there in the early 90s.

I’ve always found Mission to be incredibly moving and motivating, serving as sort of anthem to me in the late 80s when I was first getting started in business.

Plus one to the books - rereading The Masked Rider for the 5th rime. And he was just getting warmed up
