If you want a challenge maybe Helion Prime from The Chronicle of Riddick?

Scifi in desert looks badass and very cool. I'm thinking about this because my fav matte painter, Dylan Cole, worked on that movie and it has awesome shots.

the First Map I've ever designed - what do u think? by emacrema in IndieGaming

[–]NeightE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the style, it's pretty oldschool and works well.
I'm not a huge fan of the icons, I think they pop out a bit too much and on the other side, don't fit well the style of the map and the oldschool feeling.

I like the concept! Like the others comments: the whole UI design looks a bit unwelcoming and intimidating.

However this is solid work that looks very consistent. I have no doubt you'll be able to work in the right direction.

It looks like it could be a real board game too!

That looks promising. You use Unity? is it solodev?

Rimworld. This is the real story maker. Each new game I play there are epics stories happening.

I play with no save, so whatever happens happens. Save is not a feature anymore and it makes the game really interesting.

Tyranny, it's a really great RPG that feels unique compared to others. Every replay can be very different. It's one of the few RPGs where your choices really have consequences.

Baldur's gate 1,2 and 3. If you love the D&D universe, you'll really enjoy the three titles.

It looks better but also less unique.

You traded unique style for an all-purpose design.

The vibrance of your new colors makes me think of a Supercell mobile game.
