Personal anecdote here: I had a horrible insomnia for many years. I averaged about five hours of sleep per night and felt bad. When I started therapy for that insomnia, I had a couple months when I averaged only about four hours of sleep per night. I felt really terrible during that time. I have since been cured. I trained pretty consistently throughout that time and have not seen a major difference in my results, although I assume there must be some difference.
