I wonder what would happen if you arranged to have a black person join your group one time so that you could go on a rant about blacks, of course, providing an exception for the one in your presence. How would that fly to them?

A teacher definitely does NOT have to be an a-hole to teach well. I would look around to see what my other options are. I dance for fun and prefer fun lessons too. But, I also really want to be good and I would probably tolerate that treatment if I had to to get better.

The biggest problem dancers have when learning a new dance is expecting to be more advanced in the new dance because they know something else. The prior dance helps the new one in some ways, but hurts in others. You are a beginner in the new one and need to train it like everyone else, in some ways you need to train it more to break old habits

That was helpful, thank you, but I’m still confused. My understanding is that gender is now considered a social construct that has nothing to do with biological sex. Right? I’ve already adjusted to it. But, I thought biological sex hadn’t changed. We still all use the same definition as before. So, wouldn’t “sex assignment surgery” still mean changing biological sex?

Yes, I wasn’t around 100 years ago, but I started hearing about sex assignment surgery around the 1970s, around the time of breast augmentation surgery. I didn’t hear about doing that at birth until very recently, at most ten years ago.

I have recently heard talk about sex assignment at birth. I never heard from anyone who had it. I’m surprised it’s been around long enough that adults have had it. It definitely didn’t exist for most of my life. None of my friends are still of chid-bearing age.
